Hillary speech.

I just saw her speech, in her intro. the narrator says: "... that every child has God-given potential and we should..........." I want to ask her "Does that include the God-given right to live?".  Also at the end she God blessed just about everything, how convenient.

Also near the end of her speech, she stated that she has actually seen hard working Americans and that she has hope that we all can get up and start working.............??????????????????????//

I don't know, but I think this whole thing is so scripted and Bee S. Eee. It is like watching a train wreck in slow-mo,  the energy level is probably less than a high school basketball game.   Watching curling during the winter olympics I believe would be more interesting.

Now the talking heads are saying how Hillary has become cooler and not so shrill, jeesh.

I suggest Pacs System of a Down video he just posted on his blog, it pretty much rocks.

Comments:
Hillary was magnificent!
Yes, Emily. Which proved to me once again that she should have been nominated.   She's still my choice.
I hear you j. I had to turn it off when she started railing on how awful everything is right now, because my B.S. meter was starting to melt down from over-exertion.

She is so incredibly awful and conniving that I *really and for true* cannot listen to an entire speech.

Besides, I was trying to finish up work on the new predictions posting page, so I needed to turn the noise off.
I have never been able to listen to more than a couple minutes of her, even when I was a Dem.
I didn't bother listening to her graaaaaaaaating drone. Margaret Thatcher, Golda Meir, Princess Di, Mother Teresa, Benazir Bhutto [and many other truly great women] she ain't no matter how many times she reinvents herself in an effort to rewrite history. So I'm not buying her latest version.
Hillary was great. Go Hillary!
I'll give it to the lady, she's a great speaker...however, Hillary lost...and folks need to move on and get over it!!! It's over...she lost!!! Get over it!!!
Go Hillary!!! We will continue the fight!!! For the people who make the ugly remarks, as you grow older, you WILL grow wiser!
Just one more comment - I find conventions to be very boring, but I tuned in especially to see her speak and was not disappointed.   (except that she's not on the ticket) I was surprised when a caller on cspan said she sounded narcissistic. She was telling 18M people that if they care more about the people of America than the candidate they originally chose, then they must give up their battle once & for all and unite. I think she was gracious and eloquent, considering that she's not the VP.   I was hoping there would be a lot of dissension on the floor. We've lost our voice so much in the past 8 years that it bothers me even more when we were told to quit so early in the race. We have become victims of our own self-imposed guilt. I used to love a good fight and now we're supposed to put duct tape over our mouths.

"Political correctness is the natural continuum from the party line. What we are seeing once again is a self-appointed group of vigilantes imposing their views on others."
- Doris Lessing

@Hillary Supporters:

Even though I could not *disagree* with you more about Hillary, I'm glad to see that you're sticking to your guns. There's a lot to be said about that. I don't have a lot of respect for people who support a candidate just because they're the headliner for their favorite political party, and you all definitely do not appear to be in that camp.

Some of you may end up voting for Obama because he's closer to your philosophical leanings, but I get the sense from many of you that it may go either way.

I'd be interested to know from you all if one of the things running through your mind is that if McCain can get elected in '08, then Hillary could be the Democrat candidate in just 4 years? Because if Obama wins the presidency, Hillary would not get a shot until '16, and that may be too long -- other people can come along in an 8-year stretch.
