Is this possible?

Windfall Tax on Retirement Income

Adding a tax to your retirement is simply another way of saying to the American people, you're so darn stupid that we're going to keep doing this until we drain every cent from you. That's what the Speaker of the House is saying.

Read below...............from an e-mail..........

Nancy Pelosi wants a Windfall Tax on Retirement Income.  In other words tax what you have made by investing toward your retirement. This woman is a nut case! You aren't going to believe this.

Madam speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to put a Windfall Tax on all stock market profits (including Retirement fund, 401K and Mutual Funds!

Alas, it is true - all to help the 12 Million Illegal Immigrants and other unemployed Minorities!

This woman is frightening.

She quotes... ' We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income, (didn't Karl Marx say something like this), in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest.'  ( I am not rich, are you)

When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied: 'We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as 'Americans'.'  (Read that quote again and again and let it sink in.  'Lower your retirement, give it to others who have not worked as you have for it'.

What is she smokin'?
Yes Comrade Pelosi has quite a plan, doesn't she?? Lenin would be so proud!
I'll have to do more research on this, since I know which way your political views lean, but you just touched a nerve! It's already criminal that the IRS fines people 10% additional tax for needing their OWN money too early (with a few exceptions) It's like saying "Okay, you were responsible like we told you to be & put away what you could afford at the time, didn't take that vacation or buy that new car, & now that you've lost your job, we're punishing you." So, no matter what she said or what was meant, as much as I believe we need to help one another and take care of the poor, sick & needy, I don't believe in "From each according to his ability and to each according to his needs." Anyway, the only Marx philosopher I believe in is Groucho ..."Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it, misdiagnosing it, and then misapplying the wrong remedies"
According to Snopes it is false, it is a rework, of the Dems opinion basically of taking the profits from oil companies. But I do want to make two points, Nancy Pelosi is a multi millionaire, and take note read carefully, the price of energy has risen dramatically since the Dems have been in charge in 2006. If they get the executive we are SOL, they will try and kill this resilient economy, they have been dooming and glooming the economy the whole time and blaming it on Bush, blocking the whole time any means by which to improve our energy situation and being the root of the problem the entire time.

We are in a poor state of affairs; not because this rumor is true, but because it is plausible in the first place. In a decent gov't such a statement would not require a "snopes" to debunk it. It would be taken with no more seriousness than claiming the sun was going to take a day off.
This isn't bunk it really happened. Sent by a friend .... seems to be a realistic illustration of Dem double speak.

Yeah, you know when I saw it, it just seemed par for the course something plausible as time treat states, they are out for your wallet, your income, your property, your children, your life etc. Snopes I believe for the most part when it is apolitical it is accurate but I believe they have political leanings, JMO.
McCotter rocks.
