Replaced wood rot

There was some wood rot on the garage door stop on one side that went up about 6 inches. Some sort of fancy trim profile which could be hard to find or costly. I looked it over and decided not to replace the fancy trim but to leave the trim and cut off the bottom section at 10 inches high. Done the other side up to 10 inches to make them uniform in appearance. Took a piece of 1x6 I had purchased from the bargain bin at Home Depot and cut it to the width of the trim and 10 inches tall and nailed them under the trim on both sides of the garage door trim. Painted those pieces of wood and that was it for that project.

The pieces I installed are called plinth blocks. They look just fine like that.

snake, snake, snake + bird of prey

I was out in the front yard yesterday doing some painting on wood trim I replaced that had wood rot. I done the painting of the small sections of wood trim replaced and walked over to the other end of the house and cleaned the brush with the garden hose. On my way back I got to where I was painting and looked over the car. There was a bird of prey on the lawn that had a small snake [6-7 inches maybe] captured in its claws. The bird looked up at me and dropped the snake and flew into the neighbors tree. I went on about my business and did not look back where the bird had the snake.

I picked up my work area and shut the garage door. Could be the bird of prey came back and reclaimed its meal for the day. Birds of prey need to eat too.

Been having political fun

The past few weeks I have been getting phone messages about supporting the Democrats. I have been sparring back and forth having some fun with them about being a Trump supporter.

Got a message today from Move On about supporting the Democrat agenda about the usual stuff the Dems spit out. I sent a message back stating "Trump voter here, bye". Got a message back stating that they were permanently removing me from their message list.

You think the deep state conspiracy theory only originated in recent history. You can look back all the way to George Washington.
