Thanks JAP. I may be wrong but my understanding is that any illegal who sets foot on that land is subject to strictly military jurisdiction and protocol. In other words no hall pass.

Found this "In 1907, Theodore Roosevelt in a Presidential Proclamation (35 Stat. 2136) established the reservation in order to keep all public lands along the border in California, Arizona, and New Mexico "free from obstruction as a protection against the smuggling of goods between the United States and Mexico". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roosevelt_Reservation

My biggest question is in the past 118 years why has no president other than Pres Trump used it?

Thanks Sully. I did see that on a video. They're not dealing with pResident Biden this time. Probably wise for them to self-deport because it's becoming increasingly inhospitable.

Thanks Maddog. I totally agree. I'm expecting the usual court challenges but hoping for rulings based on the 1907 intent for setting this land aside.

They should widen it to 1 mile, 60 feet is too narrow.

I think beyond 60 feet inside the US would fall back to DHS authority.

Thanks Jarasan. Thought there was mention of one or more Native reservations beyond the interior boundaries of 60 feet.

I would imagine the military would work with Border Patrol agents if a runner got beyond the 60 foot zone in the US.

Thanks CDanaT. I saw they'll be using drones to monitor the border also. I'll naturally assume unarmed. I would imagine a lot depends on actions of the cartels.
