Couple of good ones.
"HILLARY AND MCCAIN
"Now that Florida results are in it would seem that the presidential beauty contest has been pretty much narrowed down to Clinton, Obama, Romney and McCain. There is only one conservative in the bunch, and that would be Mitt Romney.
Just as we discussed yesterday, Hillary won on the strength of the female vote. The polling isn't comprehensive enough to show whether or not these Hillary supporters were married .. but I think it's safe to assume that Hillary's biggest support block out there was comprised of single (unmarried, if you wish) women. Now I'm not trying to chase listeners away here, but this is serious business. Our country is in trouble. Self reliance is on the way out, and government dependency is taking its place. When it comes to government dependence, Hillary is our gal!
Can you believe it? Here's a woman who has been harboring a rapist for how many years? And she's poised to become president?
You've probably heard that the Florida delegates won't be seated at the Democrat convention. Don't believe it. Now that Hillary has won Florida you can be absolutely assured that the delegates she won will be seated. Every one. And they'll count. The Clintons will crank up their machine and see to it.
As for McCain? Look, I'm sure he's a genuinely nice guy .. and there are many things that he gets right. I believe that McCain recognizes the threat we face from radical Islam, and is prepared to continue the fight. It's hard, though, to ignore his vote against the Bush tax cuts, his antipathy to free political speech and his unwillingness to do something about the Mexican invasion. "
"YOU MAY BE A TALIBAN IF..........
1. You refine heroin for a living, but you have a moral objection to beer.
2. You own a $3,000 machine gun and $5,000 rocket launcher, but you can't afford shoes.
3. You have more wives than teeth.
4. You wipe your butt with your bare left hand, but consider bacon "unclean."
5. You think vests come in two styles: bullet-proof and suicide.
6. You can't think of anyone you HAVEN'T declared Jihad against.
7. You consider television dangerous, but routinely carry explosives in your clothing.
8. You were amazed to discover that cell phones have uses other than setting off roadside bombs.
9. You've ever uttered the phrase, "I love what you've done with your cave."
10. You have nothing against women and think every man should own at least one.
11. You bathe at least monthly whether necessary or not.
12. You've ever had a crush on your neighbor's goat.
It seems to me that a lot of these things apply to much more than the Taliban. "

"The Moses Code - Unlocking the Power of Ancient Mystery
By Thomas Herold
Source: Dream Manifesto email
"For the first time a major spiritual film release is being combined with a worldwide prayer vigil focused on shifting the planetary consciousness.
Join millions of people from every corner of the globe in learning the most powerful manifestation tool in the history of the world. Then on one momentous day we'll use the code to promote peace and compassion for all beings through over 1000 gatherings worldwide.
This is the chance for humanity to use the Law of Attraction to create peace on the deepest level.
Bestselling author, musician, and filmmaker James Twyman announces the release of The Moses Code, set for a unique synchronized worldwide opening on April 5, 2008, with a book releasing in March (Hay House) by the same title. The Moses Code is a powerful film bringing together some of the best-known spiritual leaders of our time to discuss the importance of service as a spiritual practice.
Setting the stage for a new paradigm in filmmaking, this is the first time that a major spiritual film is being released in conjunction with a worldwide prayer vigil (April 6th) drawing millions of people together on one day to watch the film in over 2000 venues, then using the tools expressed in the film to extend prayers of peace to the Middle East.
In today's fast-paced society many of us are searching to move beyond materialism in order to reach a deep level of fulfillment. James Twyman states, "Millions of people are entranced by the idea that they can attract new cars and a bigger bank account that they forget how important their role is for changing the world. In a way, it's time to spiritualize the spiritual law of attraction. That's the goal of this film."
The Moses Code features dynamic spiritual teachers and bestselling authors who share their wisdom and insights about the true meaning of abundance. Speakers include:
Cheryl Richardson (Stand Up for Your Life)
Iyanla Vanzant (One Day My Heart Just Opened Up)
Sonia Choquette (Your Heart's Desire)
Gregg Braden (The God Code)
Neale Donald Walsch (Conversations with God)
James Van Praagh (The Ghost Whisperer)
Debbie Ford (Dark Side of the Light Chasers)
Debbie Ford is also a co-producer of the film. Says Debbie, "Every day I wake up knowing I am a small piece and the embodiment of the greater whole and I look to see what I can do each day to give and to
serve the community (even when I don't want to). I strive to be a living breathing contribution and to always give more than I receive."
The film also showcases real life examples of modern day giving and service. Weaving through the film is the spiritual, uplifting music of Tina Melia and an appearance by Victor Wooten performing his new single "I Saw God the Other Day." The film is a compelling reminder that each of us has the power to change the world.
The Moses Code will feature an interactive website, www.themosescode.com, that will allow viewers to sign up to host special screenings in their own homes, learn more about the movie, and participate in the revolutionary film release on April 5th. "

Metaphysically I've read we have a lot of the "Indigo" (indigo color seen in auras of kids being born in approx the 80's onward to about 2002 then Crystalline children) in children now coming of age to vote who are supporting Obama which draws my interest to him. Indigos are supposed to be more intuitively/psychically tuned in and able to see beyond smoke and mirrors BS projected to sway the average voter.
Indigo children hold a bunch more validity for me than Ted Kennedy's endorsement but this is very interesting watching them devour their own.
"OBAMA -- AND KENNEDY -- RAISE THE STAKES
By DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANN
Published on DickMorris.com on January 27, 2008.
"Barack Obama used his victory in South Carolina to change the dialogue with the Clintons in the presidential race. He has taken Hillary's and Bill's attempt to use the race issue and replied with a clever move. He has basically called their bluff.
And Ted Kennedy's endorsement of Obama has ratified the Illinois Senator's strategy and candidacy.
So far, to summarize: Move One was when Obama arrived as a new candidate. Move two was Hillary's comeback that she is more experienced. Move three was when Obama pivoted off her experience message and said he was the voice of change. Move four was the Clintons' attempt to inject race into the election. They counted on a racial split in South Carolina to make Super Tuesday about a black/white division.
Now Obama has come back saying, in effect, "Yes, I know that you have made this election about race. But I am betting on the decency, fairness, tolerance, and objectivity of the American electorate. We all share the same hopes and dreams."
In effect, he said I match you and raise you.
To date, Obama has avoided the race issue. But after his smashing win in South Carolina, he embraced the issue and turned it around to his advantage. He did not go down the path of Jesse Jackson and base his candidacy on a rainbow coalition. Rather, he decided to rise above the Clintons and appeal to America's ecumenical diversity.
So now Super Tuesday is a contest between those who are mired in racial division and those who are willing to transcend it.
The massive outpouring of criticism of the Clintons for their tactics in South Carolina is withering fire which may take a serious toll among Hillary's voters. Caroline Kennedy's invocation of her father in endorsing Obama seems right on the money. Ted Kennedy's support for him legitimizes white backing for the Illinois Senator and could have a big impact.
The Clintons were banking on a silent invocation of racial division stemming from a massive Obama win in South Carolina among black voters and a last place finish among whites. Their hopes were that whites would note the racial split in South Carolina and react by voting for Clinton.
But this racial divisiveness can only take place in the dark, out of sight. With the glare of Obama's idealism shining on the dialogue, conscience comes into play and the American electorate may overcome the divisiveness of the Clintons.
Will Obama's move trump the Clinton strategy? A lot hangs in the balance. Ultimately, the choice will say more about our soul as a nation than about the candidates in this election.
The boldness of Obama in accepting the Clintons' injection of race as an issue and his insistence on an enlightened answer challenges us all. Even as one's head warns that the strategy will fail, one's heart hopes that it will succeed.
Either way, Obama has made the Super Tuesday vote more about who we are than who the candidates running for president are. "

"BILL CLINTON'S TEMPER NEGATIVELY AFFECTS HILLARY'S CAMPAIGN
By DICK MORRIS
Published on FoxNews.com on January 25, 2008
"Unfortunately, I've seen it all before.
That picture of the seething, red-faced former president of the United States shaking his finger at members of the press who dare to question his wife's slimy campaign tactics, is all too familiar to those who have worked closely with him in the past.
Like Janus, the two-faced Roman god, there are always been two distinct personalities in Bill Clinton. That charming, smiling gentleman seen in public is too often eclipsed in private by his negative twin evidenced in the eruption of a furious, unexpected, and uncontrollable rage, often accompanied by loud cursing and occasionally, even physical violence. It's not a pretty picture.
I've been at the other end of that anger too many times and I was always amazed at the suddenness and intensity of his fury.
Early one Sunday morning, he woke me up at my Connecticut home screaming into the phone, "have you seen the Washington Post?" Blearily, I said no that I wasn't in Washington (it was in the pre-Internet days). Apparently, the paper's lead article had our poll and focus group questions about his character and image.
"Who did you tell?" "Who did you tell?" he shrieked. I assured him that I never spoke to the press.
"Well, who DID you speak to?" he screeched.
"I only spoke to George [Stephanopopous] and Rahm [Emmanuel]," (his two closes t aides).
That set him off even more. He yelled even louder: "You ONLY told George and Rahm! You ONLY told George and Rahm! Why didn't you just send out a f-ing press release. Don't you understand that you can't tell those two anything that you don't want to see on the front page of the Washington Post? They leak everything!
He kept screaming about how he couldn't keep anything confidential because everyone who worked for him leaked. Then he slammed the phone down.
I was shaken.
The phone conversation recalled an even more difficult encounter with his temper.
Many years earlier, in 1990, he seriously overstepped his boundaries with me during one of his blind rages and permanently changed our relationship.
It was during his last gubernatorial race and he was falling behind in the polls. When we met at the governor's mansion, it was close to midnight. Hillary and Gloria Cabe, his campaign manager at the time, were at the meeting with Bill and me. I had left Connecticut after oral surgery that morning to arrive in time for a 6 p.m. meeting. My mouth was killing me, but I avoided taking any pain killers to be alert for the strategy session. The meeting was changed several times because Bill had decided to do the Nightline Show. He finally arrived back to the mansion in a foul mood. Even though he was a teetotaler, I wondered if he had been drinking.
When he learned of his decline in the polls, he immediately blamed me, accusing me of spending too much time with other clients. Yelling and screaming, he escalated his charges, refusing to listen to me tell him that his latest ad had not been on television yet when the poll was completed. He kept ranting.
Finally, I had enough. I stood up and said I was leaving, quitting the campaign. I grabbed my coat and headed out of the mansion. As I crossed the foyer, I suddenly fell to the ground, tackled by Bill Clinton. I saw his large fist coming at me. Hillary was trying to get between us, yelling "Bill, Bill, stop it. Think about what you are doing. Bill, stop it!"
Bill got up and I walked out the door. Hillary ran after me. She tried to calm me and asked me to walk around the grounds of the Mansion with her. "He only does this to people he loves," she told me. (I'll leave that one for the psychologists.)
When the story appeared in the media in 1992 , probably leaked by a fellow political consultant I had confided in that night, I called Hillary to warn her that the press was on to the fight. Her advice: Deny that it ever happened. I never did that, but I refused to comment.
Years later, when I was writing my book, Behind the Oval Offi ce, I sent the galleys to Bill. He marked up a few areas where he had questions or comments. Then he called me and said "I never did actually hit you." He asked me to change the text and tone down the story.
At the request of the president of the United States, I did.
After that Sunday morning phone conversation about the Washington Post story, I wrote the president a letter telling him how upsetting I found his tantrums and saying that I couldn't work with him any longer if that's the way it was going to be. He seemed shocked that his volcanic outbursts caused personal pain. But he knew that I was serious and wrote me a nice note apologizing and the outbursts ceased.
Until, during the 1996 Republican convention, I called him in Wyoming, where he was on vacation. That was never his happiest time, and apparently, he was upset because his favorite golf driver, given him by the King of Morocco, had broken. (He once told me it to ok seven strokes off his game). He started screaming at me that he was on vacation and did not want to talk about the convention. Again, he was so loud that Eileen heard him across the room.
I hung up on him and went to sleep. A half hour later, Eileen answered a midnight call. A voice told her that the president of the United States was calling for Dick Morris. She told the caller that I was sleeping. Two minutes later, the phone rang again. "Miss, this is a call from the president of the United States." Again, she told the caller that I was asleep. "The president wants to speak to Mr. Morris right now, please." "I'm sorry, tell the president that he's not available right now." When the phone rang again a few minutes later, it woke me up. It was the president, calling to apologize and to talk about the convention.
Most of Bill's tantrums were behind closed doors. But during Hillary's presidential campaign, we've seen the real Bill boiling with rage.
But don't think that he can't stage blowing his top when he thinks it will be strategically useful. If you have any doubts, just remember another red-faced finger-pointing performance when he said "I want to say something to the American people. I want you to listen. I did not have sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky."
Bill's tantrums are causing the press to focus on him and not Hillary. That's what he wants. No more questions about her experience, her ethics, her flip-flops. Now it's all about Bill. "

"Which Reality Do You Choose to Participate In?
By Sharon Warren
"Sometimes we hear people say, "I can't afford this," or "It's too expensive," which of course then becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy of limitation. Remember to hold only the thoughts and vibrations that reflect the world you choose to participate in. The Universe is always ready when you are ready and it is standing by, waiting for you to choose and commit to your heart's desires. Remember, abundance is not something you create, but that which you ATTRACT AND ACCEPT.
You can flow energy toward the joyful experiences that you desire, which attracts the money magnetically. What are you now ready to ask for intensely and receive expansively?
Take five or ten minutes daily to specifically identify, imagine, envision and feel excited about your highest outcomes. Have clarity on why your heart desires these experiences. Talk to others who are genuinely excited about your deliberate creations and who enthusiastically support your endeavors. Tell the Universe why you want to have it! Be joyful about your intentions and let the aura around you sparkle and sizzle with your magnetic vibration. Write a vivid poem or script out your desires as a chapter from "This Is My Life" to set your tone and let your heart sing. Let your vibration ring with the beauty of your creations manifesting now. You are rewarded to the level of your expectancy.
Have fun with all of this and know it is holy to be humorous! See your dreams through fresh eyes and let it be a surprise how the Universe delivers it. Be eager as you write and imagine what you are deliciously experiencing as you envision your outcome being fulfilled. Give thanks, believe and know you deserve to have your wishes granted now and continuously.
Your Magic Genie
Imagine a magic genie appears in front of you right now who says, "I will grant you three wishes. Your wish is my command." Ponder a few moments and then write your three wishes in the margin of your book or in the Notes pages in the back of the book. What are you choosing to magnetize now-in this very instant?
Great! You have now declared your dreams to the Universe. You are now on the royal road to your three wishes gestating and coming to fruition! Did you feel an inner glow of excitement as you reveled in your energy flowing with the visions of your decisions! When was the last time you felt this exhilarated? As you generate enthusiasm for your heart's desires, you are connected to your Stream of Well Being. You may modify the wishes later as you fine tune your desires.
You are the mapmaker and the visionary. You are the Deliberate Creator. You are the receiver. What have you been waiting for? Know that you are the magnetic human compass and you point and direct the way by summoning and flowing the energy. Point the compass needle in the meaningful and magical directions you choose to go. You will be flooded with more light and serendipitous routes, which lead to a whole download of scrumptious information to create your outcomes fulfilled.
Consciousness and energy vibrate at certain frequencies. As you feel and resonate with your outcomes fulfilled emotionally, it accelerates and steps up to a higher vibration because you have clarified your heart's desires.
Fun Guidelines for Enlightenment
There is a wonderful being, Steve Bhaerman, who writes jokes and scripts known as "Swami Beyondananda." My favorite is entitled, "Guidelines for Enlightenment," and one line is, "The most powerful tool on the planet today is Tell-A-Vision. That is where I tell my vision to you, and you tell a vision to me. That way, if we don't like the programming we are getting, we can simply change the channel." And personally to that I would add, we all have the remote control in our hands. It's called choice and making a decision for your vision!
Another guideline I love is: "Be a fundamentalist-make sure the FUN always comes before the mental list. Realize that life is a situation comedy that will never be canceled. A laugh track has been provided and the reason why we are put in the material world is to get more material. Have a good laugh at least twice a day and that will ensure hilarity."
When was the last time you had a good belly laugh? Have fun with your visions. Be of good cheer! Be prepared for magic in the moment and miracles on demand. "

"Replacing The Push Habit With The Love Habit
By Sanaya Roman
Excerpted from "Creating Money" by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer
"You are a special, unique person, and you have a meaningful contribution to make to the world. Every person is born with a purpose. There is a reason you are here; you have a role to play that no one else on the planet could fill. The special contribution you came to make is your life's work. When you are doing that work, you are following your higher path, and your life will be filled with increasing joy, abundance, and well-being.
Finding your life's work allows you to create abundance and money easily. The job or activities that are meant to be your life's work involve doing what you love with your time and energy. When you love what you do, you feel alive, happy, and fulfilled. You radiate joy and draw many good things to you. You can make money doing work that you don't like, but it will take more effort. Not liking what you do with your time and energy diminishes your flow of abundance; loving what you do brings abundance more easily and effortlessly.
Think of gardeners caring for their crops. The gardeners who love their crops will go out whenever necessary to weed, prune, and till the soil. They will protect their plants and oversee even the smallest detail. They will watch lovingly over each plant, doing everything they can to give it the opportunity it needs to grow strong and bear fruit. Of course their crops are more beautiful and more fruitful than those of gardeners who resent the work, tend their plants only when they have to, and put minimum attention into gardening. All will reap a harvest, but gardeners who love their crops will have the larger harvest. They will also feel that growing their crops is fun and joyful, while the other gardeners will feel that it takes much hard work and struggle to produce even a small harvest.
What Activities Do You Love?
Activities you love involve using the skills and talents you will use in doing your life's work. This work can take many forms; one job may represent your life's work at one time in your life and other jobs may at other times. For example, one man's life's work was to inspire people to bring out the best in them. In his jobs as a waiter, busboy, clerk, and warehouseman, he always cheerfully encouraged people and helped them discover their strengths. Later in life he started a writing career and wrote inspirational books that encouraged people to be all they could be and live joyful lives. Once his books were published, he became a popular public speaker, traveling around the country giving inspirational talks. He brought his highest skills of inspiring people to each job, although the forms of his jobs changed and evolved as he grew.
You will recognize when you are doing your life's work by the feelings of vitality and aliveness it gives you. You will feel that your life has greater meaning and that you are making a worthwhile contribution. You will have a compelling vision or goal. You will feel happier in every area of your life. Your work will allow you to express more fully who you are; it will help you grow and evolve.
You do not have to change jobs to do your life's work. You can make a meaningful contribution in any job you have, in whatever role you play, for in any job you can focus on how you are helping people; you can spread good feelings and touch everyone you contact with your inner light. You don't need to have a job or even be in business to be doing your life's work. You can express your life's work through community activities or hobbies. You may be raising a family as your life's work, helping to guide your children's life-force energy into a higher order. When your life is filled with meaningful activity, you radiate joy and love and are magnetic to abundance.
You Can Have Fulfilling And Satisfying Work
You can feel alive every day of your life and make money in the process. You can work in a supportive environment, around people you enjoy, doing what you love. As you use your special skills and talents, you can draw to you the opportunities to make money in ways that allow you full self-expression, ways that challenge and stimulate you. As you do what you love, you enrich the lives of the people around you and add more light to the world. In doing your life's work, you are accomplishing what you came to earth to do.
Whatever you love to do will also help others in some way, for it is the nature of the universe that when you use your highest skills you automatically contribute to others. When you serve others, giving fully of your talent and skill to whatever you do, your work and services will be in demand, and money will flow to you. Even if it doesn't appear that there will be more money in doing what you love, trust your heart and follow your higher path, for there will eventually be much more money and abundance from following this path than any other.
Enlightenment comes from learning to put awareness and consciousness into all you do, bringing the energy around you into greater harmony, beauty, and order. Doing your life's work provides a vehicle for your enlightenment and spiritual growth, for when you love what you do you naturally put attention and awareness into your activities.
Your higher self speaks to you through your feelings, imagination, desires, and dreams. It shows you your life's work by guiding you to the things that are joyful and giving you pictures of what you love to do. Your life's work will be something you think about, feel connected to, are familiar with, or are already working on. It may be something you do in your free time for fun or something you tell yourself you would do if you had more free time or money. Your life's work will involve making a contribution to humanity, animals, plants, or the earth itself.
Your life's work is also indicated to you by your dreams and fantasies about your ideal life. You may dream of being out in nature, sailing around the world, writing a book, creating music or art, spending your time in training for a sports activity, raising a family, or teaching a class. You may want to run a business of your own or counsel people. Your deepest desires and dreams come from your soul. Your soul is not limited by the identity you have right now; it sees the larger picture of who you are and knows what is possible for you to accomplish in this lifetime. It shows you your potential and direction by giving you dreams of your ideal life. Don't discard your fantasies as mere wishful thinking. Honor them as messages from the deepest part of your being about what you can do and directions you can choose.
Creating Your Own Job
Your life's work may not yet exist as a job you can find. It may be a job you will create. Humanity is undergoing a shift in consciousness. New forms are needed to put this higher consciousness into place. The old forms are changing; thousands of people are changing jobs and launching new careers. You are here right now to help build the new jobs and structures to support this new consciousness. It is up to you to recognize the new opportunities, sense where the needs are, and create the forms that will fill them. As this new consciousness spreads, you will be feeling a stronger and stronger urge to do work that empowers you and others, challenges you to grow, and offers you a chance to put the energy around you into a higher order.
You may be feeling an inner urge to change what you are doing and find work that is more meaningful. Many of you have worked in jobs where you found little satisfaction. You may have gone from job to job, or stayed with one job for a long time but still felt like something was missing. You may have had to create your own jobs, even if you worked for an employer. You may have found that you were frequently making suggestions to your company on how things could work better, looking for ways to improve your job.
You may have been hearing whispers that tell you it is time to consider new things. You may have found yourself thinking, "I wish I had a better job" or "I wish my work were more meaningful." A job you previously enjoyed may now be routine or something you do because you need the money, not because you love it. What was once easy may have become difficult or boring. If you are hearing any of these inner messages, it is time to start examining your path.
To create your life's work, do not feel you have to or should do something other than what you are doing. Forcing or pushing yourself usually results in resistance, not forward movement. You don't need to totally change your life; you can create your life's work gradually, one step at a time. What you are doing right now contains the seeds of your life's work. What you are seeking is to express your special skills more frequently and to use them in a way that provides you with a livelihood now or in the future.
As you do more and more of what you love, you will create abundance in its highest form - a life that is fulfilling, alive, happy, and full of love. "

Just maybe our really strange dreams are us working out something in symbol form rather than a bad case of indigestion.
"Dreaming Is Less About Sleep Than About Waking Up
By Robert Moss in Manifesting Dreams on January 18th, 2008
"The great secret of fulfilling our heart's desires and living in joy and abundance is an open secret. It is a power to be claimed as soon as we awaken to its existence and adopt the tools and habits required to bring it through.
The lesser secret involves the law of attraction: whatever we think or feel strongly, the universe says yes. If we carry around feelings of failure or dread, the world will give us lots of reasons to feel those things. If we follow our creative passions and are willing to make a leap of faith, the universe will support us and will bring us resources and opportunities in magical ways.
The greater secret is that to work the law of attraction successfully, we need to be aware of which part of us is doing the willing and choosing, and we need to develop a practice that engages the body and the larger self, not merely the calculating ego.
We have the tools we need. They are at play within us and around us, every day and every night. They are the three "only" things we too often dismiss as "only" a dream, "only" a coincidence, and "only my imagination." They are incredible guides if we will only give them a little room and respect in our lives.
In dreams, we have access to an impeccable physician, counselor and mentor who does not lie to us but shows us what we need to do to stay well or get well. In dreams, we rehearse for challenges and opportunities that lie ahead of us. Dreams are a "secret laboratory" (as quantum physicist Wolfgang Pauli observed) where we cook up new ideas and life projects. Dreams put us in touch with our soul partners and our soul's purpose.
Fundamentally, dreaming is less about sleep than about waking up. In much of waking life we go about like sleepwalkers, propelled by routines and other people's agendas. In dreams, we wake up to the bigger story. The ancient Egyptians, who knew a lot about dreams, recognized this in their language. In ancient Egyptian, the word for dream is rswt, which means an "awakening".
To make dreams your friend, reserve five minutes a day to record something from the night in a journal. Better still, use those five minutes to share a dream with a friend - but don't let the friend tell you what your dream means. Have them practice saying, "If it were my dream" and tell you what the dream means to them.
We say, "it's only coincidence". Yet when we start paying attention to coincidence, chance encounters and the play of symbols around us in everyday life, we enter the weave of magic. The stream of coincidence alerts us to the fact that we are not alone, that we have invisible sources of support, and that we may be on the right course even when the whole world seems to be going the other way - or alternatively, that we may need to adjust our goals and behaviors to a deeper agenda. We discover that every setback offers and opportunity, and that mind and matter interweave at every level of reality.
To make coincidence a guide, you again need only five minutes a day. Schedule five minutes of unscheduled time, anywhere you like, and pay close attention - using all of your senses - to everything that enters your field of perception in that brief interval. Be open to getting a message from the world through the flight of a bird, or a vanity license plate, or a snatch of conversation, or a sudden gut feeling you hadn't acknowledged before.
We say, "it's only my imagination", yet we live by images. They turn us off and turn us on. They have the power to make us sick or make us well. Mark Twain said, with devastating accuracy, "You can't depend on your judgment when your imagination is out of focus."
Part of the great secret is that if we can see and sense our destination, we are better than halfway there. To claim the power of imagination, and the fabulous fun of "making things up," we want to devote five minutes a day to picturing a place in the where we can indulge ourselves in tasting and touching and feeling the fulfillment of our heart's desires. Bring in anything you want or need - ocean waves at your front door, a shelf of books you have published, your dream lover, a space of deep healing.
When we make dreams, coincidence and imagination our guides and our daily delight, we become citizens of two worlds. We learn that there is a world beyond the obvious one, and that it is here we will reawaken to who we are and what we are meant to become. Reawakening to that world is like discovering colors after living in black-and-white. That other world is actually the multidimensional universe within which our 3D reality bobs like a rubber duck in a bathtub. Science knows it is there, and may be the secret source of all the events that will manifest in the world of the senses."

Very interesting book excerpt.
"Addiction - The Number One Disease of Civilization
By Deepak Chopra
Source: Dream Manifesto
"Most human behavior is nothing other than the avoidance of pain and the pursuit of pleasure. Whenever we experience an event, whether it’s a visit to the dentist or going on a joyride at the carnival, our consciousness registers that experience internally on a spectrum with great pain at one end and extreme pleasure at the other. Once completed, the memory of that experience is tagged to either pain or pleasure, and it continues to exist in our body-mind.
Memory is useful because it gives us a sense of continuity. But memory is also imprisoning because it conditions us in predictable ways. The great yogi Lord Shiva said, “I use memories, but I do not allow memories to use me.” We have to use memories; otherwise we wouldn’t find our way home. When we use memories, we are creators. But when our memories use us, we become victims.
Are you ready to step out of the prison of memory and conditioned responses into the experience of freedom? If so, then observe your addictive behaviors without judgment. Addiction is the number-one disease of civilization, and it’s directly and indirectly related to all other diseases. Besides physical addictions, such as the addiction to food, tobacco, alcohol, and drugs, there are psychological addictions, such as the addiction to work, to sex, to television, to shopping, to appearing young, to suffering, to anxiety, to melodrama, to perfection.
Why are we addicted to all these things?
We are addicted because we are not living from our source; we have lost our connection to our soul. The use of food, alcohol, or drugs is essentially a material response to a need that is not really physical at its foundation. Drunkenness, for example, is really a forgetting of personal memory so we can experience the joy of the nonpersonal, the universal. What we are looking for is pure joy rather than mere sensation, or even oblivion of sensation. Self-destructive behavior is unrecognized spiritual craving. All addictions are really a search for the exultation of spirit, and this search has to do with the expansion of consciousness, the intoxication of love, which is pure consciousness.
Over and over, people have tried to overcome their addictions through psychological and behavioral methods or through medication. None of these offers a permanent cure. The only cure for addiction is spiritual. We hunger for the ecstatic experience, which is a need as basic as the need for food, water, or shelter. Ecstasy, or ek-tasis, literally means stepping out. True ecstasy is stepping out of the bondage of the time-bound, space-bound world of materialism. We long to step out of the limitations of the body. We long to be free of fear and limitation. We hunger for the oblivion of our ego so that we can experience our infinite Being.
When the ego or the image of the self overshadows the unbounded Self, we feel cut off or disconnected from infinite consciousness, our source. This is the beginning of fear, the onset of suffering, and all of the problems of humanity, from our minor insecurities to our major catastrophes, such as war.
Start today to transcend your addictive behaviors by observing them without judgment. Wake every day with a prayer: “Thank you, God, for making me just as I am,” and then observe yourself. Be a witness to your thoughts, your moods, your reactions, your behaviors. They represent your memories of the past, and by witnessing them in the present, you liberate yourself of the past. By observing your addictive behaviors, you observe your conditioning. And when you observe your conditioning, you are free of it, because you are not your conditioning; you are the observer of your conditioning.
Observe the silence between your thoughts, your actions, your reactions, and you will feel the presence of spirit in the stillness of those spaces. In the mere observation of yourself, you begin the process of healing and transformation. And if you keep practicing ever-present awareness of your own self, then insight, intuition, and imagination will begin to blossom.
People have asked me, “If the universe is so elegantly organized and we are born with all this human potential and creativity, then why are we so ignorant?” Well, if we were already enlightened, there would be nothing to do. It’s a process. If you occasionally succumb to your addictive behavior, understand that this, too, is part of the process. You may keep falling, but you can always get up and continue on your journey.
No matter how hysterical your environment appears to be, remain alert and sober in your ever-present witnessing awareness. Resolve not to get drawn into the melodrama around you. Remind yourself, I am neither superior nor inferior to anyone who exists. Saint or sinner, the spirit that resides within me is the divine spirit. It has taken on a certain role in this lifetime; it has taken on other roles in other lifetimes. I honor the divine spirit in myself and in all beings as holy and sacred no matter what role it is playing.
None of us are the roles we play. Recognizing this truth, it is easier to forgive all perceived transgressions. We don’t feel compelled to label, evaluate, analyze, or judge ourselves or others. When we have no need to label or judge, it’s easier to relinquish the desire to control and manipulate others.
In this very moment, you are surrounded by a field of pure consciousness. Pure consciousness illuminates and animates your mind and body, and it is powerful, nourishing, invincible, unbounded, and free. By knowing your true nature, it is possible to go beyond suffering. When you go beyond suffering, you help others to go beyond suffering. As you continue on your journey of healing, you help others to heal. And you can start to heal by observing your addictive behaviors without judgment. Once you find your true self, once you become whole, the only intoxication you have is the intoxication of pure consciousness, pure Being.

"Present Reality is Manifestation of Past Thoughts
Posted by Enoch Tan
Source: Secrets of Mind and Reality - MindReality.com
"You know that your thoughts create your reality. But if you are trying to find out how all your thoughts today are creating your reality today, you are making a mistake. Some of the things that happen today are created by the thoughts you think today, but there are many more things you experience today that are the result of the thoughts you’ve been thinking many days ago. Depending on what those things are, some of them take varying amounts of time to manifest into present reality.
Thoughts take time to manifest into the physical world. What you see with your physical eyes is yourself at various moments of your past. Present reality allows you to look at yourself so that you can create the next version of yourself. What you see is an illusion that is designed from various moments of your past. The way to use this world you see with your eyes is to see it as your past and to discover what to change and grow. Present reality is a gift for you to know yourself.
Present results are the effects of previous thoughts. In other words, when you look at the world today, you are actually looking at yourself as you were yesterday. The world at any present moment of now, reflects your thoughts and state of being before the present moment of now. Insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result. If you want things to be different, you have to think and do things differently.
The present moment is what you have sent to yourself. The present is pre-sent by yourself in the past to be experienced in the now. It allows you to experience your past thoughts and to change them if you desire to. Be grateful for the present because it allows you to experience yourself. The reason why thoughts take time to manifest into the physical world is so that we are given the chance to reconsider our intentions and change them before they are experienced more tangibly by us and with others.
Physical reality is mental reality expressed. To express is to make known, to communicate and to present. You experience your thoughts first in the mental world which is your imagination, so that you may know which ones you truly intend to accept and work on. The thoughts that you have chosen with the will to be fully realized, becomes what you experience a second time as manifest reality. The physical world is designed to enable you to experience an idea and it’s effects and consequences.
If your thoughts manifested instantly in this plane of existence, you would not have the chance to cancel them before they are fully experienced by you and others. That is why it is a good thing that physical reality works that way. If you want to manifest a thought into physical reality, hold on to it and concentrate your intention for it to be so. Consistency of thinking and the belief that it will happen is what brings your thoughts into materialization in this world. Full creation is mental as well as physical.
The future first exists in the imagination, and then the will and finally in reality. It takes the will for anything to be fully experienced. The will is the director of reality. If you want to create anything completely, you have to use the will to make it happen. The will is focused intent. Persist in your intention until it is realized in physical reality. You need to have patience as you continually think those thoughts until they have been given enough time for the universe to arrange everything for them to happen.
Once you understand that the present moment is not only created by present thoughts, but also by past thoughts, you can know the reason why you still experience certain things in the present that are not in alignment with your present thoughts. The causes of your present reality may extend far into the past. Therefore when you look at what is happening now and wonder how did you create it, realize that it is very well the effect of your thoughts and actions months and years ago.
The state of your life right now is partly who you are and who you were. Some of your current affairs are the residual effects of your thoughts in the past. You can create reality anew this moment with the thoughts and feelings that you choose to have in the present, which will create your future. Do not think that whatever that has been will always be, no matter whether it is good or bad. You must continue to think the right thoughts and feel the right feelings in order to continue creating the reality you desire.
Real change happens instantly the moment you change yourself on the inside with your thoughts. But the effect of inner change will take varying amounts of time to become fully experienced in the outer world. Some of its effects will be experienced faster while others will take longer. Once you have decided to make a change, persevere with it all the way. Time will go by until you notice that your present reality is completely different from how it was in the past. It is a whole new world for you. "

Ran across this very interesting article which seems to define luck as a cultivated skill of maintaining a mindset which draws lucky synchronous events to you.
"Your Energy Level Determines Luck Vibration
Posted by Enoch Tan
Source: Secrets of Mind and Reality - MindReality.com
" Many people think that luck is something that is purely random, unpredictable and difficult to control. That is because they do not know what luck really is. When you are able to know the true definition of luck, you can learn the whole science behind this phenomena and gain control over it. Luck is another aspect of your reality and perhaps the most powerful and important one. The more conscious and aware you become of the elements of your reality, the more of a conscious and powerful creator you will be.
Your luck is your psychokinetic resonance with the environment you are in. Like everything else, luck is an energy. It is something that is quantifiable not in physical but in nonphysical ways. You can quantify it physically only in terms of its physical manifestations in your life. Luck is dependent on time, place and consciousness. When you are lucky, you are in mental and emotional resonance with your surroundings. When you are unlucky, it is the opposite. The level of resonance is the level of your luck.
Luck is also a feeling or emotion because emotion is energy in motion. When you are lucky, you are also feeling lucky. Your feeling is your vibration and therefore you are vibrating luck and feeing it. You feel and experience that everything is working for you when you are lucky. You feel that everything is working against you when you aren’t lucky. A state of vibrational harmony or disharmony with your environment is the whole explanation for this. You either flow that things are in a flow or things are disrupted.
Your energy level determines your luck vibration. At times when you are feeling low of energy, that is also when your luck vibration is at a low point. You are more likely to make careless mistakes, become more accident prone and flop up in some way. When you are feeling high of energy, that is also when your luck vibration is in a high state. You are sharper, clearer and more in the zone. You seem to be able to do amazing things in ways that baffle others to the point that makes you seem very skillful or lucky.
Actually luck and skill are one. The more in energetic resonance you are with your environment, the more your skill will work and the luckier you’ll seem. You can always observe that when the best are in action, they always seem to have both their skill and the situation working for them. You can never separate luck from skill because after all, they are both part of the same thing called psychokinetic resonance with the environment. Your skill is your capability of handling the situation which depends on luck.
Once you know that luck is an energy, you can depend on it in that manner. You cannot depend on luck that is considered to be random chance occurrence. You can’t depend on such things because they do not exist. A non existent thing cannot be depended upon. Everything that exists is a part of consciousness and can be controlled by consciousness. Therefore luck exist and is fully under your control. Knowing this, you never have to fear of bad luck because you can make all things work in your favor.
Since luck is dependent on energy, you have to pay attention to your level of energy in every moment and take charge of it. When you notice that your energy level is low, be more careful with the things you do especially if they are important. You may make mistakes that usually never happen, and wonder how could you be so unlucky or stupid. You may realize that every time you have made careless or stupid mistakes that seem to be like bad luck, it was when your energy level was indeed at a low point.
Lack of focus and lack of being adequately present minded also creates bad luck. Do you notice that when you make stupid mistakes in situations, you felt that you were not ready? What do you mean by not being ready? You mean that you weren’t focusing properly or fully enough, and you weren’t being adequately present minded. The first step to controlling luck is to be present minded. If you want to be lucky, you must put your focus in the activity you are doing. Or else you’d create bad luck and mistakes.
Your level of focus and placing your mind in the present determines your psychokinetic resonance with the environment. Focusing is how you channel energy towards a particular time and place. When your focus is here, your energy is channeled here and you experience luck here. Where you focus is where you generate luck in. That is why the secret of success is focus. Successful people are lucky people because they have more focus than the unsuccessful and unlucky ones. Focus to be a lucky one.
Seek to maintain a high level of energy or vibration at all times. People who experience their luck going up and down throughout the day allow their energy to go up and down. People who experience their luck being consistently high all the time maintain their energy and vibration at a high level. At times when your energy is low, seek to increase it to a higher level again. Do not continue doing any work at a low level of energy because you will tend to make mistakes. Recharge your energy first, then work.
Be aware of negative thoughts and feelings that will bring your level of energy or vibration lower. Positive thoughts and feelings bring your energy level and vibrations higher. Therefore choose to think positive thoughts and feel positive emotions, and you will experience more luck and success in your life. You can also increase your luck when you are more intent of succeeding in a certain situation. Your energy of intent will energize you with the luck you need, and that is why willful intent bends the world to you. "

"Hillary Clinton’s Emotional Press Conference– As Seen From The Extraterrestrial Spacecraft That Controls Her
"HERE COME THOSE TEARS
By DICK MORRIS
Published on January 8, 2008.
Source: Dick Morris Reports
"Why did Hillary cry during an ABC interview yesterday?
Some say it was phony, contrived to make her appear more human and empathetic. Wrong. She must have known the political consequences, particularly for a female candidate, of tears. Ed Muskie watered his political grave in New Hampshire in 1972 by crying in public over the false accusation that he had used a derogatory ethnic term to describe French Canadians. Nixon’s dirty tricks people had planted the phony story. But the tears ended Muskie’s candidacy.
Others say that the tears reflected genuine emotion and sorrow for the diminished future prospects of America now that it would not have Hillary Clinton to lead it into the future. Wrong again. Even she is not that arrogant.
The real reason was that her frustration at not being able to control events boiled over and metastasized into tears.
I know because I saw it once before in 1994 after the Democrats lost Congress due, in large part, to her failed health care reform initiative. A few days after the election, she sobbed to me over the phone that she was “bewildered” and that “nothing I do seems to work out.” She confessed to being “totally at a loss” and not to grasp why “nothing is working.”
Hillary is a control freak whose most admirable quality (yes, there are some) is her amazing self-discipline. She wears the right clothing, exercises properly, eats sensibly, stays on script when she answers questions, memorizes the briefing papers, follows the strategy, hits all the right talking points, gets her makeup and hair just right. So why is she losing? The essential equation for her is that if she disciplines herself sufficiently and prepared arduously, she will prevail.
But when she doesn’t, she is at sea. She becomes frustrated by her loss of control and doesn’t know where to turn. She has great faith in gurus and chooses them carefully. But once she invests her faith in one of them, she follows their lead to the end of the earth. But if she doesn’t achieve her objective, if the guru’s instructions prove flawed, she is at a loss as to what to do and she becomes very emotional.
A person who never bends, she sometimes breaks.
Contrast her reaction to adversity with Bill’s. The former president becomes furious. He rants and raves to all who will listen about the injustices being done to him (or to Hillary) and demands redress. He refuses to concede the merit in his attackers but, red in the face, screams in rage at his adversity.
For us the questi on is which we would rather have as president, an angry, determined, energized chief executive or one who is lost, awash in self-pity and confused by failure? The answer is obvious. Hillary lacks the temperament to be president.
What is the political consequence of her lapse on ABC? Probably huge. Americans are warmed when a politician is moved to tears by the plight of someone else. But they get turned off when it is their own plight that the public figure bewails. Pity for others is positive. Self-pity unforgiveable in our politics. We want a president who will not go to pieces when the missiles start flying.
And, on Monday, in the snows of New Hampshire, Hillary Rodham Clinton failed the test. "

"Br-r-r! Where did global warming go?
By Jeff Jacoby
Globe Columnist / January 6, 2008
THE STARK headline appeared just over a year ago. "2007 to be 'warmest on record,' " BBC News reported on Jan. 4, 2007. Citing experts in the British government's Meteorological Office, the story announced that "the world is likely to experience the warmest year on record in 2007," surpassing the all-time high reached in 1998.
But a funny thing happened on the way to the planetary hot flash: Much of the planet grew bitterly cold.
In South America, for example, the start of winter last year was one of the coldest ever observed. According to Eugenio Hackbart, chief meteorologist of the MetSul Weather Center in Brazil, "a brutal cold wave brought record low temperatures, widespread frost, snow, and major energy disruption." In Buenos Aires, it snowed for the first time in 89 years, while in Peru the cold was so intense that hundreds of people died and the government declared a state of emergency in 14 of the country's 24 provinces. In August, Chile's agriculture minister lamented "the toughest winter we have seen in the past 50 years," which caused losses of at least $200 million in destroyed crops and livestock.
Latin Americans weren't the only ones shivering.
University of Oklahoma geophysicist David Deming, a specialist in temperature and heat flow, notes in the Washington Times that "unexpected bitter cold swept the entire Southern Hemisphere in 2007." Johannesburg experienced its first significant snowfall in a quarter-century. Australia had its coldest ever June. New Zealand's vineyards lost much of their 2007 harvest when spring temperatures dropped to record lows.
Closer to home, 44.5 inches of snow fell in New Hampshire last month, breaking the previous record of 43 inches, set in 1876. And the Canadian government is forecasting the coldest winter in 15 years.
Now all of these may be short-lived weather anomalies, mere blips in the path of the global climatic warming that Al Gore and a host of alarmists proclaim the deadliest threat we face. But what if the frigid conditions that have caused so much distress in recent months signal an impending era of global cooling?
"Stock up on fur coats and felt boots!" advises Oleg Sorokhtin, a fellow of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and senior scientist at Moscow's Shirshov Institute of Oceanography. "The latest data . . . say that earth has passed the peak of its warmer period, and a fairly cold spell will set in quite soon, by 2012."
Sorokhtin dismisses the conventional global warming theory that greenhouse gases, especially human-emitted carbon dioxide, is causing the earth to grow hotter. Like a number of other scientists, he points to solar activity - sunspots and solar flares, which wax and wane over time - as having the greatest effect on climate.
"Carbon dioxide is not to blame for global climate change," Sorokhtin writes in an essay for Novosti. "Solar activity is many times more powerful than the energy produced by the whole of humankind." In a recent paper for the Danish National Space Center, physicists Henrik Svensmark and Eigil Friis-Christensen concur: "The sun . . . appears to be the main forcing agent in global climate change," they write.
Given the number of worldwide cold events, it is no surprise that 2007 didn't turn out to be the warmest ever. In fact, 2007's global temperature was essentially the same as that in 2006 - and 2005, and 2004, and every year back to 2001. The record set in 1998 has not been surpassed. For nearly a decade now, there has been no global warming. Even though atmospheric carbon dioxide continues to accumulate - it's up about 4 percent since 1998 - the global mean temperature has remained flat. That raises some obvious questions about the theory that CO2 is the cause of climate change.
Yet so relentlessly has the alarmist scenario been hyped, and so disdainfully have dissenting views been dismissed, that millions of people assume Gore must be right when he insists: "The debate in the scientific community is over."
But it isn't. Just last month, more than 100 scientists signed a strongly worded open letter pointing out that climate change is a well-known natural phenomenon, and that adapting to it is far more sensible than attempting to prevent it. Because slashing carbon dioxide emissions means retarding economic development, they warned, "the current UN approach of CO2 reduction is likely to increase human suffering from future climate change rather than to decrease it."
Climate science isn't a religion, and those who dispute its leading theory are not heretics. Much remains to be learned about how and why climate changes, and there is neither virtue nor wisdom in an emotional rush to counter global warming - especially if what's coming is a global Big Chill. "

Well here in Hotlanta sure seems like global warming to me ..... not!!!!!! ..... now 23 degrees with a 3 mph wind, tonight projected 19 degrees.
Some other not quoted or posted metaphysical information I've come across lately says that our current warming is part of a natural earth cycle which is a precursor to another ice age. Yes it gets very warm before going into an ice age and there is nothing we did to cause it or can do about it. That source said the earth is in a cycle of increased activity, most especially ocean currents which are causing current warming.
Add in the scientific fact that the sun is burning warmer heating up our entire solar system, which condenses our warm cycle into logical perspective.
I've always preferred common sense checked out through many sources.
Great article below full of logic and facts!!!
"A cold spell soon to replace global warming
13:54|03/ 01/ 2008
Source: Russian News Information Agency
MOSCOW. (Oleg Sorokhtin for RIA Novosti) – Stock up on fur coats and felt boots! This is my paradoxical advice to the warm world.
Earth is now at the peak of one of its passing warm spells. It started in the 17th century when there was no industrial influence on the climate to speak of and no such thing as the hothouse effect. The current warming is evidently a natural process and utterly independent of hothouse gases.
The real reasons for climate changes are uneven solar radiation, terrestrial precession (that is, axis gyration), instability of oceanic currents, regular salinity fluctuations of the Arctic Ocean surface waters, etc. There is another, principal reason—solar activity and luminosity. The greater they are the warmer is our climate.
Astrophysics knows two solar activity cycles, of 11 and 200 years. Both are caused by changes in the radius and area of the irradiating solar surface. The latest data, obtained by Habibullah Abdusamatov, head of the Pulkovo Observatory space research laboratory, say that Earth has passed the peak of its warmer period, and a fairly cold spell will set in quite soon, by 2012. Real cold will come when solar activity reaches its minimum, by 2041, and will last for 50-60 years or even longer.
This is my point, which environmentalists hotly dispute as they cling to the hothouse theory. As we know, hothouse gases, in particular, nitrogen peroxide, warm up the atmosphere by keeping heat close to the ground. Advanced in the late 19th century by Svante A. Arrhenius, a Swedish physical chemist and Nobel Prize winner, this theory is taken for granted to this day and has not undergone any serious check.
It determines decisions and instruments of major international organizations—in particular, the Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Signed by 150 countries, it exemplifies the impact of scientific delusion on big politics and economics. The authors and enthusiasts of the Kyoto Protocol based their assumptions on an erroneous idea. As a result, developed countries waste huge amounts of money to fight industrial pollution of the atmosphere. What if it is a Don Quixote’s duel with the windmill?
Hothouse gases may not be to blame for global warming. At any rate, there is no scientific evidence to their guilt. The classic hothouse effect scenario is too simple to be true. As things really are, much more sophisticated processes are on in the atmosphere, especially in its dense layer. For instance, heat is not so much radiated in space as carried by air currents—an entirely different mechanism, which cannot cause global warming.
The temperature of the troposphere, the lowest and densest portion of the atmosphere, does not depend on the concentration of greenhouse gas emissions—a point proved theoretically and empirically. True, probes of Antarctic ice shield, taken with bore specimens in the vicinity of the Russian research station Vostok, show that there are close links between atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide and temperature changes. Here, however, we cannot be quite sure which is the cause and which the effect.
Temperature fluctuations always run somewhat ahead of carbon dioxide concentration changes. This means that warming is primary. The ocean is the greatest carbon dioxide depository, with concentrations 60-90 times larger than in the atmosphere. When the ocean’s surface warms up, it produces the “champagne effect.” Compare a foamy spurt out of a warm bottle with wine pouring smoothly when served properly cold.
Likewise, warm ocean water exudes greater amounts of carbonic acid, which evaporates to add to industrial pollution—a factor we cannot deny. However, man-caused pollution is negligible here. If industrial pollution with carbon dioxide keeps at its present-day 5-7 billion metric tons a year, it will not change global temperatures up to the year 2100. The change will be too small for humans to feel even if the concentration of greenhouse gas emissions doubles.
Carbon dioxide cannot be bad for the climate. On the contrary, it is food for plants, and so is beneficial to life on Earth. Bearing out this point was the Green Revolution—the phenomenal global increase in farm yields in the mid-20th century. Numerous experiments also prove a direct proportion between harvest and carbon dioxide concentration in the air.
Carbon dioxide has quite a different pernicious influence—not on the climate but on synoptic activity. It absorbs infrared radiation. When tropospheric air is warm enough for complete absorption, radiation energy passes into gas fluctuations. Gas expands and dissolves to send warm air up to the stratosphere, where it clashes with cold currents coming down. With no noticeable temperature changes, synoptic activity skyrockets to whip up cyclones and anticyclones. Hence we get hurricanes, storms, tornados and other natural disasters, whose intensity largely depends on carbon dioxide concentration. In this sense, reducing its concentration in the air will have a positive effect.
Carbon dioxide is not to blame for global climate change. Solar activity is many times more powerful than the energy produced by the whole of humankind. Man’s influence on nature is a drop in the ocean.
Earth is unlikely to ever face a temperature disaster. Of all the planets in the solar system, only Earth has an atmosphere beneficial to life. There are many factors that account for development of life on Earth: Sun is a calm star, Earth is located an optimum distance from it, it has the Moon as a massive satellite, and many others. Earth owes its friendly climate also to dynamic feedback between biotic and atmospheric evolution.
The principal among those diverse links is Earth’s reflective power, which regulates its temperature. A warm period, as the present, increases oceanic evaporation to produce a great amount of clouds, which filter solar radiation and so bring heat down. Things take the contrary turn in a cold period.
What can’t be cured must be endured. It is wise to accept the natural course of things. We have no reason to panic about allegations that ice in the Arctic Ocean is thawing rapidly and will soon vanish altogether. As it really is, scientists say the Arctic and Antarctic ice shields are growing. Physical and mathematical calculations predict a new Ice Age. It will come in 100,000 years, at the earliest, and will be much worse than the previous. Europe will be ice-bound, with glaciers reaching south of Moscow.
Meanwhile, Europeans can rest assured. The Gulf Stream will change its course only if some evil magic robs it of power to reach the north—but Mother Nature is unlikely to do that.
