My take from this is to research candidates prior stances on issues, not glitzy ads or how slick their presentation is, and vote accordingly. Don't wait for someone to do something about issues. Vote to elect officials who will give more than platitudes to a situation which enforce a double standard of two sets of rules.

The study concluded that rising carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions are causing an increase in plant life, which generally has a moderate cooling impact on the local climate.
In warm areas, CO2 emissions increase the amount of leaf cover, leading to localized cooling. Cooler places see the opposite, with temperatures rising slightly since less sunlight is being reflected back from the surface from increased leaf coverage.

Trump Lawyer: POTUS Has No Russian Debt, Has Received Some Income From Russians

"President Trump owes no debt to Russian lenders but has received some income from Russian sources over the past decade, his lawyers said Friday.
Trump’s legal team at the Washington, D.C.-based firm Morgan Lewis said in a certified letter that the former real estate magnate’s tax returns show he did not receive “any income of any type from Russian sources.” But the firm cited two exceptions, both of which have been widely reported.
In the letter, Trump lawyers Sherri Dillon and William Nelson also said that his taxes show that no Trump-controlled entities have Russian investors. Trump also owes no debt to Russian lenders, the firm said.
The returns do show $12.2 million Trump received from the 2013 Miss Universe pageant held in Moscow. The returns also show $95 million in income from Trump’s sale of Florida real estate to a Russian billionaire in 2008.
Dillon and Nelson state that “it is likely” that Trump’s businesses have “engaged in ordinary course sales of goods or services to Russians or Russian entities,” such as the sale of real estate or rental of hotel rooms.
“Such income would not have been separately identified as ‘Russian’ in your books and records and therefore not separately reflected on your tax returns,” the lawyers said. ...."

"Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) on Thursday vouched for President Trump’s assertion in a letter to former FBI Director James Comey that he was not under investigation by the FBI.
Grassley told committee members at an executive meeting that he and Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) had met with Comey last week, and that he had briefed them on who the targets of the various investigations are.
“Senator Feinstein and I heard nothing that contradicted the President’s statement,” he said.
Feinstein then said after Grassley’s statement, “I very much appreciate what you’ve said and it’s very accurate, and we were briefed.”
Grassley said that, shortly after Comey had briefed them, he had tweeted that the then-FBI director should be more transparent.
“I said he should tell the public what he told Senator Feinstein and me about whether the FBI is or is not investigating the President,” he said.
“Now Mr. Comey is no longer the FBI director. But the FBI should still follow my advice. It should confirm to the public whether it is or is not investigating the President. Because it has failed to make this clear, speculation has run rampant.” ...."

"The feud between Trump and Steve Bannon appears to be a thing of the past.
As part of his extended interview with Bloomberg on Monday, Trump dismissed speculation that his administration is split by discord, saying he is sticking by his polarizing chief strategist, Steve Bannon, calling him a “very decent guy” who is getting a “bad rap.” Trump even revealed his own term for Bannon’s ideology, calling it "alt-left," a pun on Bannon’s ties to the conservative "alt-right" movement.
Why alt-left? Because as Trump explains, “Bannon’s more of a libertarian than anything else, if you want to know the truth,” Trump said during the Oval Office interview.
More importantly, Bloomberg adds that Trump’s "playful approach" to the former chief of Breitbart News, arguably the biggest target of liberal fury, and his other comments about his staff suggest that a widespread shakeup of his inner circle is unlikely in the near future.
Trump added that both Bannon and Reince Priebus would likely still be in their same roles several months from now, along with two other figures in his administration who have drawn withering fire: counselor Kellyanne Conway and press secretary Sean Spicer. Confirming reports from early April, Trump also said that Bannon and his son-in-law Jared Kushner had managed to repair their relationship.
"Bannon is a very decent guy who feels very strongly about the country. Likewise, Jared. And they’re getting along fine," Trump said, calling Kushner “a very brilliant young guy.” ......."
