Very interesting! I always thought 440 sounded a bit sharp to my ear, technically divisible by two 4x until you get to 55, 432 goes 5x by 2 until you get to 27, observation. When we tuned "up" we used to go by ear (string instruments), but later we got fancy and used tuners, we were always a bit flat when we checked with tuners. Problem was being able to tune on stage with several musicians at the same time, you need a good ear or roadies!, tuners sped this process up a lot. I didn't get a digital tuner until the late nineties! There were analog strobes before eg.Conn. looked like an oscilloscope.

As a personal note, if I walk into a musical situation and the instruments or vocals are not tuned with each other, I can't stay in that place. On the other hand if everything is tuned together flat, sharp, no problem.

Sometimes de-tuning for eg. an E string to a D makes playing some music easier. Keith Richards did a lot of un- standard tuning on his guitars to make it easier to play a lot of their songs. This is why he is still alive and will out live us all.

Thanks Jarasan. That is very interesting. I don't have the musical ears you do but the illustration in the video made the 432 more mellow and relaxing. Maybe they didn't want us to be relaxed. 😏

It is incredible a mere 8hz. of sound waves are quite noticeable, the hum around us all the time is 58-61hz AC voltage, the high frequencies of PC power supplies, monitors, TV's, cell phones on and on are passing through the very cores of our bodies down to the cellular level. It is good to get away from this stuff as often as possible, I wish I could.

The intensity or 'power' of 'waves' drop off inversely proportionally to distance from the source 'emitter'..... the further away the better.
