Climate Confessions And Liberal Voodoo

Good read for a laugh.  First article links to second one which is truly an environmental crisis.

CLIMATE CONFESSIONS AND LIBERAL VOODOO

WHAT’S THE ENVIRONMENTAL CRISIS?

".....I have no idea how far this will go, but I applaud the concept. Contaminated needles everywhere and human excrement on the sidewalks is an infinitely greater environmental problem than anything the EPA conventionally deals with."

Comments:
It would be funny if not for being so maddening having to listen to the left call us "science deniers" or proclaim we skeptics should be eliminated in order to save the Earth.

I read an article a few months back where the use of cleaning the SF sidewalks with high pressure water hoses was objected to and stopped b/c of it being "racist", resembling the fire hoses once used on civil rights protestors.

The actual "homeless problem" here in the U.S. is not nearly as big as they make it out to be. Yes, there are huge numbers living on the streets and under bridges and in tunnels all across the country, but most of those are mentally ill, alcoholics or drug addicts, the latter two having squandered every opportunity they were given to get clean or refused the help to begin with.

I used to date a woman whose brother was one of those and living under an underpass in Amarillo. The family finally found him and brought him home, even though it was a hardship for the large family, one more mouth to feed. He lasted only a few weeks because he chafed under the rules his mother laid down, mostly to not drink in the house and esp. not be abusive to everyone else. They even bought him a small camp trailer and hooked it up in the back yard so he could drink to his heart's content, but for some reason that offended his dignity....so he went on back to Amarillo where he - as he declared while leaving- could be with his "friends", his "real family". Not sure how much "dignity" there is in living under an underpass in a cardboard box, but....

Thanks Mike. The hazard as we all know with the squalor is filth, rodents, the real potential of disease for the rest of us. I feel that needs to be addressed no matter how offended someone is about how it's done.
"living under an OVERPASS..." Sheesh. I watched part of a YT video about so many people living in the storm drain tunnels under Las Vegas. I know NYC has a big problem with people living in the subway tunnels and I suspect many other large cities do as well.

I've read Amarillo is attractive to people living on the street b/c of the generous social programs the churches and other private charities provide. I'm not sure I'd want to be on the streets or living under a bridge during a Panhandle winter, though. I bet towns in Arizona, southern California and Florida would have a larger influx just b/c the temperatures are warmer.

I've never been to San Francisco, but I've read it can get pretty cold there. I think it was Mark Twain who once quipped "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." (and many websites say he never made the quote,but...)
Thanks Mike. Even in Atlanta it gets very chilly in winter. We've had lows in the -5 F range sometimes. Humidity in this area sometimes makes the cold cut right through.
