Those idiots. The Constitution is a brilliant document and the Electoral College was to keep the largest, most populated states from being the ones that always elected the President. Just b/c it's worked against the leftists in a couple of recent elections doesn't mean it's not working as our wise Founding Fathers intended.

Any smaller state that signs onto this compact is shooting themselves in the foot. Essentially, they would be turning over the election to New York and California and the other largest states. Even mostly-conservative Texas could not counter those two largely leftist areas.

I got an error message when trying to send my original post, so I backspaced and the text was still in the reply box. I started to "Post Comment" again, then just copied what I had written - just in case - and refreshed the page and there was my post!

I've gotten into the habit of Ctrl+A, then Ctrl+C before sending ANYTHING; not just in here, but emails, other forums, etc. Double posts aren't too bad (Make a wish on 'em!) but I really hate having composed a reply and have it disappear into the ozone.

I'm w/ jarasan 100%.   The reasonable Democrats need to wake the hell up and not allow a relatively small faction to take over their party. OCC's "list" of moderate Dems that need to be purged from the party should scare the crap outta them.

For all their screeching about "Russian collusion", they sure are trying their best to emulate the old USSR and its Stalinist tactics.
