For you all who were stating he was never deployed to Nam, high five your math was indeed correct. Cheers

HE LIED: Native American Activist Nathan Phillips Never Served in Vietnam — But Raised Money By Saying He Did

"The Washington Post has had to issue yet another retraction after falsely claiming that far-left Native American activist Nathan Phillips served in the Vietnam War. He didn’t — but this lie was previously used to help raise money for a documentary about his life.

On Monday, the Washington Post quietly issued a correction to their story about the activist, saying that while he served in the Marines, he was never deployed to Vietnam.

“Correction: Earlier versions of this story incorrectly said that Native American activist Nathan Phillips fought in the Vietnam War. Phillips served in the U.S. Marines from 1972 to 1976 but was never deployed to Vietnam,” the update...."

Yep, Liar.

No Horonor.

Not My Elder.
Thanks JADE. There are derogatory articles currently about him, but chose to stick to facts. I'm unsure if his statements about the kids were a misinterpretation on his part or deliberate to seek donations. Time will tell.

I do hope the legal system has its way with the media which piled on and didn't walk back with an apology.
Wonder if he knows Lizzie Warren?
He was 17 yo. when he joined...21 when he left, he could not have been in Vietnam.
Thanks Sully. Ooooh good question.
Thanks Jarasan. Since he either lied about going or went along with the media narrative that he did, I would be interested if someone looked up his service record ... provided that is public information.
Wonder if they'll get him on the Stolen Valor law.

Now that it's ok to be a vet I see a whole lot of people wearing Viet Vet hats, but when you ask them what unit and such, the lingo just ain't right.

One clown said he was airborne so I asked him how many PLF's (parachute landing falls, a technique for when you land) he could put in a kit bag. He said, "I got 19 in one time" so I ripped his store bought wings off of his phony uniform.

Another time a supervisor where I worked had a baseball hat with a cartoon chicken on it.........I asked him what it was and he said, "101st Airborne." I happened to have a real 101st hat in my car and told him that it was the real deal. End of conversation and his making believe he was a barfin' buzzard.

There's also an awful lot of make believe Navy Seals running around too.
Thanks Coin Toss. It may have been that article or another but read veteran groups are seeking his enlistment information. I will be curious to see what they come up with.

Thank you for your service Coin. Also thank you for your service to anyone else reading my blog.
