I can't help but find the irony in Jimma running around the globe preaching "human rights" - this from a man that most likely worked people in a plantation type atmosphere for .50 per hour picking peanuts..

Day by day the world is succumbing to radical Islamic aggression (Indonesia) and good old communism is making a comeback in South America and it seems Russia too. Eurabia (EU) is a cross between socialism and Islam.

Yes the world "opinion" formed by the leftist driven media speaks volumes against the last great super power on earth they're trying to topple so they can crawl to the top of the pile. President Bush is leading that great superpower so no wonder he's in the cross-hairs. Wake up and smell the coffee instead of following the pack.

I'm standing back, looking at the bigger picture over time as far as WHO is trying to bring us down FROM WITHIN and WHY they're trying to do it through the media and through howling moonbats on the left who are useful idiots of radical Islam.... and further who radical Islam would be the first to destroy in total if they conquer.

Anyone who believes the MSM is being brainwashed.... it's getting sooooooooo obvious even for those who don't have their BS sensor turned on. First Rather, then Reuters, now AP. The foundation of "news" we thought we could trust for the truth is crumbling before our eyes.

I still like good old-fashioned "mob-rule" Democracy (oxymoron by the way). The 'whole world is wrong and we're right' type of thinking reflects a different kind of politics than that which we are espousing to the world. Saddam was right and the rest of the world was wrong too. Kim Il Jong is right and we're all wrong. Sometimes the pollsters know what they're talking about. If most of the people think you are wrong, there is a good chance that you are wrong.

I'll take mah "Jimma" over yer "Dubya" any day in the lottery at the Pearly Gates as to who makes it in or who takes the swan dive. That's a sure bet and worth a $20 ticket.

As a lifelong Georgian I am qualified to say that Jimma is a disgrace to the state.

Oh, and I don't care if Bush is respected outside of this country- what does that mean in the big picture ?

President Bush is the only president who had guts to stir the pot in the Middle East to begin bringing a stop to much of their tribal warfare.   Yes it's ugly now and would be much uglier if we'd done nothing.

Konane, you are right. I'm not familiar with his guvnah accomplishments or non-accomplishments in GA.. That is why I purposely avoided referring to his political accomplishments (however Jimmy Carter did more for world peace than G.W. Bush could even imagine). I was referring to character and character alone.

That is the final judge of our life's accomplishments, our character. A peanut farmer is just as good a man as a 1600-acre rancher. Character lies in the honesty in our lives. Both of these men portray themselves as strong Christians.

Who has lived the life of a Christian and who hasn't will be the question asked by St. Peter, not who farmed peanuts or cleaned more brush from his 1600-acre ranch, but who contributed the most to the world in his self-proclaimed Christian principles.

I'm not religious but I like the basic tenets...'thou shalt not kill' is one of my favorites of the commandments.

Thou shalt make peace and love thy neighbor is something else JC talked about ....it wasn't written on a tablet of stone but that was the message.

So going back to the original premise, who will take the swan dive? The rancher or the peanut farmer?

The peanut farmer thought he could charm a faction who expressed clear intent to kill anything not of its own kind. It's called gullible and precipitated the Islamic fascist problem we have now. Recently it's called needing to have his ego stroked by any hate-American dictator coming down the pike.

President Bush was served the follies of a previous "negotiator" who did nothing in the face of the same threat Carter failed ..... is doing something.

I read something metaphysically that I had to wrap my mind around and that there is no heaven and hell as we've been taught, there is no reward or punishment on the other side. The other side is simply a preparation for coming back into another lifetime and trying to make choices in a world of duality (light and dark). The real task we face is what choices do we make when we can choose light (good) or darkness (evil) to create and live our lives with.

Now that brings me to President Bush who faced an attack on American soil and from intelligence sources knew if we didn't change things we were in for far more of the same. He took the fight to the ones who intended to kill as many Americans as they could, and have taken out as many as they can through surgical warfare. Not pretty, but cleaning up after someone's inaction (Clinton's failures to act) never is. When given a direct threat, an expressed intent to kill any and all Americans then going after the enemy is the correct action because that's his oath of office.

Christianity aside, heaven and hell aside, I believe history will be very kind to President Bush. I'm also not worried about him reincarnating as a roach next time around.

You know I appreciate your metaphysical views. We are on the same wavelength there. Evil is evil and good is good. Terrorists and presidents are all included in this maxim.

You cannot be good and evil and you cannot be evil and good. It is against the forces of the universe.

You can be both at the same time, but there is a price to be paid for it. We are created with light (good) but if we use/call evil (dark energy) it has a habit of attaching to your aura and remaining. Dark energy can not sustain itself because it can not create a source of sustenance (food), is parasitic and enough of it will sap the life out of the person it's on. A shaman, witch doctor of voodoo priestess or similar sage would tell you the same thing which is why people in the past consulted with them to get it removed since they can not remove it by themselves.

Energy is neutral, it is our mind and its bend as to how we choose to use it. From what I can discern karma is created and worked out on this side, not punished on the other side which gives one great pause as to ramifications before taking action.

Our test is how do we act when we have free will to choose either one. Also read that the most vile evil that exists is created from the mind of man, not something that comes from somewhere else.
