"Rudy for president?

Been hoping he'd run, and would love to see Guiliani/Rice ticket for '08 because they're totally electable.  And Rice ascending to the presidency in 8 years would be a really good thing.  Big Grin  She's tough as nails, brilliant and principled  ... the hallmark of true presidential material.

Would sure throw a monkey wrench in the Hillary BS machine!!  Oh to be a fly on the wall!!

Wouldn't vote for McCain on a bet due to his PRO-AMNESTY stance.

"Rudy for president?

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Well-connected public figures report that they have been told recently by Rudolph Giuliani that, as of now, he intends to run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008.

The former mayor of New York was on top of last month's national Gallup poll measuring presidential preferences by registered Republicans, with 29 percent. Sen. John McCain's 24 percent was second, with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich third at 8 percent. National polls all year have shown Giuliani running either first or second to McCain, with the rest of the presidential possibilities far behind."

I really like Rudy, but I just have some nagging feelings about some of his positions. I'm not sure he'd come out on top in the Republican primary, but here's how I would see it going down:

1. He runs in the typical field of 8-10 candidates, and does pretty well, maybe second or third.
2. He gets picked for VP candidate.
3. He helps the Republican candidate get elected -- maybe the Democrat VP candidate he's running against is Hillary, and he would take her apart.
4. Over the next eight years (because obviously the Republican would get re-elected) he would gradually morph his positions, having seen the light from eight years of experience.
5. He runs for president in 2016, winning handily.

Easy!

By the way, I kinda hope Hillary is the Democrat candidate, because she is unelectable. I can only imagine the discussions going on amongst the Democrat power brokers, and they tear out what little hair is left trying to figure out what to do.

You'd make one heck of a political strategist!!!

I'd love to see Hillary run and get trounced, tucking her tail, licking her wounds, slithering off into the sunset.

I hope Guiliani runs this time because he is known by the nation for taking firm control on 9-11 and feel he and hopefully Rice would pull voters disgruntled by insanity that's eclipsed the Democratic party, plus Republicans tired of RINO's voting with the asylum inmates.

On a lighter note the two Dem gubernatorial candidates in Georgia are engaged in a feeding frenzy ... of each other. Reaching for my second box of popcorn loving the show!! Polls show that if the election were held today Gov. Sonny Perdue (R) would win by a landslide. ;D

Also Dems are squealing to high heaven about our voter ID law and have an injunction filed against it. After challenges are exhausted they won't be able to elect their candidates with dead people and dogs voting anymore.
