We went global! Instead of taking care of our own....
greedy government.....
I hear 'ya Mike, but the people in the government were put there by the citizens. And unfortunately a large share of the citizens have the wool pulled over their eyes, and have been hoodwinked into thinking the government should be a large part of everyone's life. (Which itself gives more power to the government.)

It is a spiraling effect, because the more power the citizens relinquish to their government, the easier it becomes for the government to repeat the cycle of removing rights and controlling people's lives.

The big media, which is essentially made up of liberal elitists from both coasts, are complicit in this cycle, which is why they outright oppose and ridicule any political candidate who wants to limit big government.

Tax cuts are a great example of this. Have you ever seen a FAIR assessment of tax cuts on a major news station (except Fox News), or in any major newspaper? Have you seen or read and big stories about how the tax cuts that were put in place rescued the economy that was failing, and spurred one of the biggest economic revivals in our time? Have you see any front-page stories or TV news stories talking about how the DOW and NASDAQ are at record levels?

Of course the answer is "no", and every concerned citizen should be asking themselves, "WHY?"

All of these Blog entries Konane has been entering spread the TRUTH about what is going on out there, not the liberal-processed crap that the media spoon-feeds the masses.

Thank God for the Internet, which could not have come at a more opportune time. Just as the USA was beginning to slide toward the makings of socialism, the Internet sprang to life and allowed people to get the truth out there, and combat the constant brainwashing of the big liberal media.

There is a reason that sites like the Drudge Report are so popular. It's because millions of people have had their eyes opened, and they don't like what they see.

Thank you everyone for your comments .... especially yours, Todd!! Thanks to each and every one who read my blog!!

Thank you for allowing Lottery Post to be a place to post this information even though it's not lottery related. It's apparently interesting enough that the views keep going up!!

Another example of taxation was the Gramm-Rudman-Hollings Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Reaffirmation Act of 1987 , raised, restructure capital gains that effectively stopped the real estate boom during that time which had generated vast amounts of tax revenues during Reagan-Bush-Bush that Clinton falsely took credit for. As a result of Gramm-Rudman rent prices of family dwellings, apartments, went through the roof and remain there today. The poor can't afford rent unless governmentally subsidized with tax payer money, so who won? No one .... the pea under the shell got shuffled and economically the nation got shafted.

Gramm-Rudman provided the "balanced budget" Clinton alluded to which came about through TAX INCREASES RETROACTIVE, military and intelligence gutting.

We falsely expect some sort of marker event to take place for socialism to take hold, but it simply involves the government taking one right at a time such as is being attempted with the immigration issue right now ...... mowing the people's will flat as they proceed toward the acquisition of "absolute power for our own good because they know better than we do."

Anytime governments are granted that much control over people to give you what you need because they know best how to spend your money, they can likewise take it all away for ANY REASON they choose. Intentional starvation of millions under Mao in China are a text book historical example.

Absolute power corrupts to the core and our forefathers knew this.

Because the United States was founded upon freedom and opportunity for anyone willing to work for it, we remain the greatest nation on the face of the earth because we're the only one who still offers same this many years later.
