I check in on your blog from time-to-time and saw this post, but didn't think too much of it since I don't watch TWD. I DO know about it and it's hard to miss the memes about Lucille. I have a bat and used to have little brass hollow balls screwed into it which were originally spacers for an old brass towel rack I used to have that finally cratered. Anyway, I was told by a former boss of mine, an ex deputy sheriff, that it was probably illegal, along the lines of brass knuckles, so I unscrewed 'em. Anyway....
I watch Supernatural and The Big Bang Theory and just this last week both shows had a "tribute" to the barbed wire bat. I went searching to see how much one would cost - not that I'd buy one, but just curious - and was surprised at how expensive the replicas could be. It made me think I might build a few on my own and try to sell them on Ebay. YouTube has several videos on how to faithfully recreate one, but that got me to thinking that they also might be considered a deadly weapon (duh) and illegal to possess, much less sell.
