Today I learned a new word: psephology. The study of elections and political predictions. And something I learned before today, the existence of online markets where people bet on election outcomes. Some people say that closer to an election these markets are better predictors of an election outcome than polls.

As of today, one such marketplace has DeSantis at 38% for the R nomination in 2024, Trump at 34%, and the third most likely pick at 6% followed by lots of others at even worse odds.
