When he cut supply and increased demand that's EXACTLY what he did.
My gas here in East Tennessee was $1.83 under Trump and now it's $3.89.
And people are not too happy about that.
You will see exactly how unhappy they are all over this country that you hate so much in November.

Let's see, gas hit $4.00 when Obama was in office, (May 2011) was under $3.00 all 4 years when Trump was in office, now it's been over $4.00 with Biden.
Oh and buy the way, gas prices were going way up long before Putin went into Ukraine.

As far as presidents controlling prices, it's their policies that effect the prices. When they ease gov't regs, remove drilling restrictions and lower taxes on the oil companies, they can produce more, at less cost, which results in lower gas prices. Which also makes us less dependent on other nations for our oil. That's what Trump did.

Biden otoh, put regs and restrictions back in place on day one, and raised the taxes on the oil co's. restricting US oil production, which made us MORE dependent on other nations. Also, one of his campaign promises was to get rid of all the oil co's. and push EV's. The result of that is $4.00 a gallon gas. So you see, presidents have a lot to do with what we pay at the pump.
Also saw today that Calif. wants to ban the sale of new gas powered cars by 2035. So they will be forcing you to by EV's. What's going to happen when the electric co's out there can't keep up with demand?

You really need to stop paying attention to the cnn talking points. They (and Biden) are lieing when they tell you gas prices only went up after Putin invaded Ukraine. They're making you look stupid. The link I posted will prove they're lieing.

Gas prices were $2.47 Jan.25, 2021. Biden took office on the 20th. May 10, 2021 they hit $3 ($3.05). Putin invaded Ukraine Feb 24,2022. On Feb 21, 2022 gas was $3.62. That's a $1.15 increase before the invasion.
