The Republican Party Isn't Going Anywhere

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2021/03/end-republican-party/618242/

Comments:
The Democrat Party is on its way to the dust bin of history.

The only reason they are in power now is that they know how to steal elections.

When people start opening their eye's and see the damage that the democrats are doing, and have done done to this Country, they will be a forgotten memory. Especially with this incompetent person we have at the Helm.
True Maddog.
Sure they not going anywhere, and we all know why. With the so called election fraud in the 2020 Presidential election, State Republicans are rewriting the voting rules in order to stay in power.Just look at Georgia & others- cutting down on voting days, time, polling places, no handing out food & drinks for those in line, in a word: absurdity.
When you cant win fairly, change the rules- you know it & so do they.
Trumps Republican critics have not produced any significant movement toward a Republican Party schism, in part because there are so few of them. In 2016, Never Trumpers sought to run a candidate who better represented the GOP establishment. They settled on Evan McMullin, who came in fifth, behind the Green and Libertarian candidates, with just over 700,000 votes; Trump won almost 63 million.
Ok, so who is going to be the nominee in 2024 for the Republican Party? Who out there has name recognition? Personally, like Kasick in 2015: Intelligent, had name recognition, knew math, was a governor, but he was rejected.
Both Cruz & Harley will gain no traction, so who becomes the standard bearer of the party?
Saying its Donald wont fly, the guy is radioactive to the American people.
The republicans are going to do a nation wide search from coast to coast for a used car salesman with a line of bs a mile long. They will be wearing stupid hats and the he- haw crowd will be elbow to elbow cheering him on!
Hey, did anybody watch Biden's speech? This was supposed to be an uplifting speechbut it felt and sounded more like a funeral for America.
That's because we not out of the woods yet. Every President going back decades spoke with respect, dignity for the office until you know who showed up. Today was not some political rally where you tell your followers " You have to vote for me even if you don't like me, or even Reagan was not told: We love you Mr President."
What sycophant behavior. How did you ever fall for that con?
The republicans are not trying to rewrite the voting rules. That is the dems that are doing that like they did in the last election. There is nothing wrong with having to show an ID to vote and voting in person on election day.
You don't vote 3 or 4 days past election day and keep counting votes a week later. Everything needs to be done ON election day.
That is the way it's always been, that is the way it should stay.

Yeah, I watched his speech. He never glanced away from the teleprompter. His eyes were riveted to it. The only time they weren't was when he had to pull a piece of paper out of his pocket to give the covid death total.

Still waiting for JB to do a solo press conference. 51 days and counting. No other president has gone that long at the beginning of his term.
Never had that problem with Trump. He would routinely take questions for an hour or more. Anytime, anyplace, anywhere.
