The Democrats were screaming how great Obamacare is during this debate. Democrats still own it.
Let Obamacare explode on its own. Democrats own it.
Invasive oppressive government is still here.

Many people are going to die because of the slavery of Obamacare .

What a disaster!!!
The repubs have the House, Senate and the presidency and couldn't get enough votes to pass a bill. Trump wrote the book, "The Art of the deal". He found out the hard way that those strategies only work in the corporate world. He failed miserably as a closer.
Excellent strategy Mr. President and Team.

The dealing has just begun.
JAP69 has the right idea. Let the DEMOCRATS sleep in the bed they made, see if Pelosi takes the blame.

I'll bet they still don't know what's in it either.
Seems like President Trump should ditch Paul Ryan and get on board with a Rand Paul plan. Ryan's plan was certainly an improvement in that it removed mandatory purchase requirements and associated penalties, but it didn't go far enough and still seemed to me a bit like Odumbocare Lite.
Kal I agree it needs a total rework. I think that's why everyone has balked so far passing it. Trump is functioning like a business man ... get things in order to do the deal or he'll work on something else until they do. He has a lot of things to do so wants them to get past their kindergarten antics and do it right.

Ryan's plan was certainly an improvement in that it removed mandatory purchase requirements and associated penalties, but it didn't go far enough and still seemed to me a bit like Odumbocare Lite. No doubt that OdumboCare has run it's course and will self-implode later year even without further intervention. But as President Trump has previously reiterated, this is not the best course of action for the country.
Oops, sorry! Your PM popped in at the same time I hit the send button, and I thought the original message didn't post. Oh well!
Speedy, make no mistake about this, these people here know full well that the republicans dropped the ball in an EPIC WAY!!! First of all , they actually rushed this legislation and the reason why is because yesterday was the day that Obama signed his legacy into law...google it. Trump & Co. made it their sole business to 'repeal and replace on day one' which was a figure of speech for, "We'll do it on Obamacare's ANNIVERSARY to spite Obama with his Kenyan, Muslim, *snake a$$." Oh, yeah...this is definitely FACT. This was their BEST JAB at Obama, Obamacare, and Democrats period. The punchline to it all, though, is that republican lawmakers and their constituents they work for UPHELD THE BETTER HEALTHCARE POLICY....OBAMACARE.

Speedy, my friend, they're fully aware HERE of what happened today because even Sean Hannity and Rush had to admit that the republicans phuqued up ROYALLY. How in hell can people blame the Dems when Republicans own the majority on both sides of the road? These folks are sick, man, I keep telling you! Notice how they're all too cowardly to cite their own leaders as the failing links in all this. It's also why there's ANOTHER catastrophic failure looming. He!!, even the CBO said that neither the ACA nor Trump's would really implode but, Trumpcare will kill off senior citizens., jack up prices, and *NOT COVER DRUG ADDICTION. Just google Robert Moss's story and see how Trump reneged on him and his dead son.
LOL, was I too cowardly in just citing Paul Ryan's failure above ? I'm still not quite sure which side of the fence he's on (?) Seems to be straddling both sides which equates to failure. Get Rand Paul on board already and the bill will go through without any problem.
The Republicans promised to repeal and replace Obamacare.

If they don't do it then they are promise breaking liars.

If they go down as promise breaking liars then I suggest the Libertarians field electable candidates for the next elections.

Any sane person can see that while Obamacare is the fault of the moron Marxists the failure to repeal and replace it is the fault of the promising GOP.

There, blame assigned, now do what you SAID you were going to do and repeal and replace it or go down as lying failures!!!
@ Think, I understand where you're coming from, but that assessment may be a little too harsh. The only reason it didn't pass is that the conservative sector didn't think the bill went far enough to completely remove it from any aspect or vestige of being perceived as OdumboCare V2. I agree with Konane that it needs to be completely re-worked and resubmitted for eventual enactment (in the not too distant future), and in such a manner that it couldn't possibly be construed as being Odumbocare Lite/V2. The federal subsidies need to be terminated and the provisions thereof totally transferred back to the arena of the private sector where Health Savings Accounts should take center stage and be subject to the rules of normal free market capitalism. Federal government has no business being involved in the health insurance market, much less imposing penalties for non-compliance. That way we finally get back on track to recovery and much needed relief.
aha ahahha ahahha ahahha ahahhaha ahahhaha ah, Trump is such a joke. Blame it on someone else instead of GOP because we ALL know the PUBS can do NO wrong whatsoever.
Amber, glad to hear you think it's so funny, but apparently you didn't bother to read the previous comments.
There are many Rinos none of us care for due to their policies.
You know what was wrong with that repeal and replace bill. It was not really a repeal bill is was only a bill to eliminate parts of Obamacare. The repeal was suppose to come a few years down the road when ever that would be.
If the total bill is not repealed and Republicans lose power the Democrats still have the Obamacare bill in place. All they would need to do is another reconciliation deal on parts of the Obamacare bill.

@JAP69:

Sometimes, I really wonder why you don't post more consistently with substance and without BS like you've done in #18 to promote more good exchanges. Yes, as I mentioned above, they did remove the Substance Abuse Care provision in their deal which is why people like Robert Moss, who sold everything he had and followed Trump around, are now highly pissed and vehemently oppose your party now. Multiply that by....pick a number. All they did actually did was simply try and 'tweak' Obama's signature legislation to fit their tax revision while increasing the insurers bottom line across the board...while making the older citizens foot the total bill which also increased premium-wise. That's wrong and cruel.

Also, when dealing with this healthcare business, a subsidy and tax credit are nearly one in the same once applied to the equation. The Pubs and Crats just choose to use two different labels to essentially define an 'offset' of tax value factored into a given plan and market. I do get the argument against the whole mandate requirement but, it's there to assist hospitals and caregivers by preventing bankruptcies and non-payment of services from those cared for in times of need. If you will oblige me, I offer the following article which I saved from 2009 by a heart surgeon and Senate Majority Leader of the Republican Party. This is why Obamacare was passed by Republicans.

https://www.usnews.com/opinion/articles/2009/09/28/frist-an-individual-mandate-for-health-insurance-would-benefit-all

Granted, Obamacare does need work but it's also working for people across the nation as evidenced by protests. The majority of people polled simply wanted specific areas (cost adjustments and markets) of Obamacare addressed while basically leaving it intact which all of those republicans opposing the Trump/Ryan deal knew already. It's also why it never had a chance from jump street.
Obamacare is the lead in for single payer. When Obamacare fails you wil see a big push for single payer.
Obamacare was designed to fail.
Okay, I do agree but I'm not sold on Obamacare having been destined to fail...we can spar on that as we move forward. The single payer deal will be looked at lot in the coming sessions as it removes all the kinks and knots from healthcare while saving $5-6 hundred billion annually. We'll see. Also, the CBO doesn't seem to agree with Obamacare being on a self-imploding course.
How can the CBO score the potential dropping out of health insurers?
13 states with only one insurance option now.

This is the only reason it has not imploded yet:

Report: Obama illegally robbed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to fund Obamacare scheme

Will this be the final nail in the coffin for the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as “Obamacare?”

Federal court litigation provides evidence the Obama administration illegally diverted taxpayer funds that had not been appropriated by Congress in an unconstitutional scheme to keep Obamacare from imploding.

Blah, blah, blah blah blah conspiracy theories.
