Sounding and Acting Like Reagan Romney Has Them Terrified

Comments:
This is exactly what I have been saying for many months: Mitt Romney is the closest thing to Reagan that's come around in a long time. Which is why I'm always dumbstruck when I hear conservatives call him liberal or moderate. Romney is not.

Many conservatives fail to remember that Reagan was a Democrat at one time, was the head of his union, and was the governor of California -- all things considered to be quite liberal. Yet Reagan is considered the quintessential conservative. And he is.

People like Santorum, who the media liked to call the "most conservative" in the Republican primary, was NOT the most conservative. He was simply outspoken and very far-right with regard to social issues. But conservative? Not nearly the ideal conservative. He is/was all over the map with regard to conservative principles. He supported huge government programs, and then turned around and tried to justify it.

Mitt Romney, on the other hand, was governor of one of the most liberal states (Massachusetts), and yet he managed to govern even that state with conservative values. He balanced the budget, did not raise taxes, and did not waiver on the important social issues. Critics claim his support of healthcare reform in the state proves he's liberal or moderate, but that's bunk. He did exactly what states do -- create laws that the residents of the state wants.

"Romneycare" differs wildly from Obamacare.   The whole bill was 70 pages long vs. 2,074 pages for Obamacare. It did not raise taxes (unlike Obamacare), it was created with bi-partisan support (unlike Obamacare, which was rammed down our throats by Democrats only), and most importantly, it is not designed in a way to eventually become a single-payer system (unlike Obamacare).

In other words, it is good law, supported by the residents of the state, and perfectly in-line with conservative principles. If you are violently opposed to it, you can move across the border to another state -- just like the founders intended under Federalism. But if you don't like Obamacare, well, there's nothing you can do about it. It is forced upon you, exactly how the founders tried to guard against.

I'm encouraged to see that conservative writers are starting to see Romney correctly. His presidency could be a great one, just like Reagan's.
There are many vids on you tube regarding Muslims and their religion. They have been there for quite some time. Just look up Muslim vids on you tube and you will find plenty.
To single out that one vid is pulling at straws for the cause of the attacks.
This is also an opening by their statements about the one vid to push for free speech control.
Can not let a good crisis go to waste.
I agree 100% Todd. Its just too bad that the Liberal Democrat media machine has had so much practice at promoting their chosen elite.
I watched Clinton soar in the polls and become President for no apparent reason so I wont be deceived this time into thinking that the "could be" Romney ever really had a chance.
I am now seeing the slogan "Mitt happens" all around my city and I don't know if its friend or foe doing the posting, but either way it is unfortunately (for America) a seemingly accurate prediction of Mitts (and Americas) destiny. (down the toilet)

Todd IS dumbstruck for sure!
He thinks Reagan raising taxes 11 times like Reagan did IS CONservative.
Reagan Was Also a supporter of the McCarthy Communist Witch Hunts when he turned over names of many in Hollywood as Communist sympathizers who Were NOT!
If Todd also believes that Romney-Ryan will ever be elected over President Obama perhaps Dumbstruck for Todd is too mild.It is because of what Romney-Ryan stand for that President Obama WILL serve 4 MORE YEARS! 4 MORE YEARS! 4 MORE YEARS! 4 MORE YEARS!
To help Todd shed his dumbstruck label (or NOT?).
Romney,as Governor of Mass. lost 10,000 manufacturing jobs a year.
Under his watch Mass. was 47th in job creation.
He cut taxes for the wealthy while raising taxes and fees on the middle class.
He left Mass. $2.6 billion in debt.
Romney IS A Pathological Liar making him a Psychopath!
Booby,
If we wanted to read those lies and propaganda we'd go to the leftwing-loon sites you copy/paste them from.
Put a lid on it.
