This is NOT about Obama releasing anything - it's about Romney releasing his tax returns. Don't get it twisted. Obama doesn't have to prove that he did not participate in bankrupting 100s of companies for personal wealth after 1999, laid off American workers while shipping their jobs overseas and hiding the money in Swiss bank accounts and refusing to show his tax returns.

It's a smokescreen article to get the heat off Romney releasing his tax returns. He's got to do something and quick. He'll choose a VP very soon to try to get the heat off him too and try to make the focus be on the VP. Romney bankrupted 100s of companies for personal wealth, laid off American workers and shipped their jobs overseas and hid the money in Swiss bank accounts and refuses to show his tax returns. He also did a few ponzi schemes.
So it ain't about Obama releasing his tax returns, it's about Romney releasing his. Obama is already President.

I find the senario of Obama calling for an opponent to release information when he hides as much as he can to be beyond ironic. I find it downright two-faced, despicable, and bordering on the criminal.

Perhaps we need a qualifying process. Candidates running for any public office, from school board to POTUS, should prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they qualify for the office they are seeking. Or would that just be another office subject to corruption? (I vote for "corruption" if a democrat were in charge.)

Gasmeterguy, Obama is already president and have been through a qualifing process which is already in place. Romney's financial dealings are in question and were from the beginning. People want him to prove that he is did not bankrupt 100s of companies for personal wealth, lay off American workers and ship their jobs overseas and hide the money in Swiss bank accounts.
