According to the Comments Section after the article, the theatre was a Gun-Free Zone.

When Democrats make laws about guns, or business owners add their own rules regarding them, they're always counter-productive. We are guaranteed the right to bear arms by our Bill of Rights and anybody who doesn't want armed people around them should find another country to live in where you're not allowed to defend yourself.

If I had family members in that theatre I would want the good guys to be armed too, not just all the good people sitting there defenseless for some lunatic to pick off like ducks in a barrel.

But Democrats always want the good guys unarmed and helpless against this kind of thing.

Democrats and their laws and their rules and their political-correctness and their limp-wristed cowardice and all their touchy-feely bullsh*t played a role in the likelihood and the scope of this atrocity. Just as it did in Columbine and Virginia Tech, where teachers and students were not allowed to be armed and in Arizona where the people around Gabby Giffords chose not to be armed due to political-correctness.

How many lives would have been saved all across this country where for decades and decades Democrats would not allow people to carry guns for self-defense in big cities where simply walking the streets in certain areas is risking your life?

Why do Democrats ALWAYS think that if they outlaw guns that gun crime will diminish when the exact opposite has been proven to be true? Gun crime ALWAYS GOES DOWN when people are armed or the bad guys have to wonder if they are because it's legal.

That book story was out there before the cops even got to his apartment. Just like always everytime something like this happens.
