Blacks have been the underclass since the war between the states. They have been the target and beneficiaries of countless government programs which have grown exponentially over the last 50 years. They have been moved to the front of the employment line through Affirmative Action which routinely discriminates against better qualified people of other races.

And none of it has done anything to improve their lot. The Democrats keep them placated with welfare and food stamps and keep telling them that things are going to get better - but they never do, do they? They tell them to keep voting Democrat because those Republicans are racists and they believe them. And here they are, over 150 years after the war, still the underclass and still believing Mr Charlie and still voting for him.

Blacks have achieved great things in this country. Look at people like Condi Rice; do you think she would have become Secretary of State of the most powerful nation in the world if she had listened to Mr Charlie and just stayed on the Democrat Plantation collecting welfare and food stamps? That's a sentence to guaranteed failure in life.

You always say that some people need help once in a while and that we should help them and I agree. But if somebody needs help for over 150 years, there's a problem that needs to be addressed.

Studies have shown that even dolphins, if fed consistently by humans, will get lazy and become totally dependent on humans to feed them rather than provide for themselves by hunting their own food. It's the same with people. If you guarantee and provide them food and shelter, they'll come to rely and depend on it. They'll never become productive or self-reliant. They'll become dependent and demanding.

People with pride, dignity and self-respect find taking handouts to be an insult and it is an insult to your dignity. It's an admission that you can't take care of yourself or your family and must depend on others to provide for you. Most of us (well, half of us, anyway) couldn't countenance facing that prospect of humiliation.

But people who have been born into and raised in a culture of dependency don't know any better. They consider providing the basics of food and shelter to be a function of government and develop a sense of entitlement to it. And that's where I see you coming from Louise.

There's no way an educated person as you claim to be, can go off to college and still hold on to the old ignorant belief-system fostered by the Democrats, that if you keep voting for them things are going to get better someday, when for 150 years they haven't - unless you've been programmed from birth.

So at least I can better understand your intransigence knowing that you were born into dependency and that's all you've ever known. I consider it a valid and legitimate excuse for your reasoning but one that I hope you come to recognize someday.
