When you invest in some companies that are on the brink of bankruptcy and ready to close that companys doors tough decisions are made wether that company can be saved.

Bain Capital kept that steel company afloat for 8 years, Louise. They were going to go bankrupt when Bain stepped in and pumped money into the company. Those workers got an extra 8 years of employment BECAUSE of Bain.
They finally went under with a bunch of other steel companies the same year, including Bethlehem Steel, the second largest steel company in the nation because of foreign steel being dumped on the market that year.
