Jews lived in Israel long before the current conflict.   Out of the approx 7.5 million people who live in Israel, at least 20% are Arabs. Most of them choose Israel over any other middle eastern country because of the lifestyle and freedoms they enjoy.

Jews lived with Arabs for thousands of years and, anyone who reads the Bible or ancient history, know the Jews in Arab were treated very poorly if not killed.   In an Islam state, the laws have always discriminated against Jews, Christians and any other "infidels" who do not believe in the teachings of the Qur'an.   For example, a child who lost his father before reaching puberty was forced by law to convert to Islam.   Males were forced to serve in the military and females were given to Muslim men who could not afford a dowry.   Look at Yemen. There used to be 50,000 Jews living there and now there are only 3 or 400.   Jews are often victims of militant groups and fanatics. In 2008 a Yemeni Jew was killed because he wouldn't commit his soul to Allah.

There has never been a group of people called "Palestinians."    This is a word made up by the media.   The area the Jews developed after 1948 we call Israel was a desert.   Helen Thomas should read a little more. Mark Twain visited the area and called it a "wasteland."   The "Palestinians" are Arabs who have been brainwashed since birth into hating Jews, Christians and Americans.   They are not natives to the region. For example, read the bio of Arafat and you'll find out that he was born & raised in Cairo, Egypt.

Imagine if you were raised from birth to believe that the Johnsons who live next door to you were evil and drank the blood of children. All your problems were blamed on the Johnsons, their friends and relatives. Your whole purpose in life would be to destroy all the Johnsons and nothing else would satisfy. I have relatives who lived in Israel and agree the Palestinian refugees live in deplorable conditions. However, they've been offered homes for decades and refused homes & jobs unless all Jews leave Israel.

I don't want to hijack this blog, so I'll stop. There's too much history.   Bear in mind that Ms Thomas was born in 1920. So she was probably planning to retire anyway and wanted to go out with a bang. I think the comments on the news about her "stepping down" are absurd.   She is 90 years old.

JX glad to see no broken fingers. Amazing she felt this way, disgusting.   She felt emboldened since this is the train of thought in the WH and she let the cat out of the bag.   Just look at the way Netanyahu was received and treated.

Helen Thomas has issued her resignation right after decades of journalism. Helen has covered each and every president given that John F. She is the only reporter to actually obtain a specific seat within the White Residence press room. She may be respected for years by thousands of people for her reporting styles. Recently she created a really derogatory comment that offended so numerous individuals she was forced into retirement. She not only resigned, but is also retiring. The saddest part of this single slip up in her career is that; had she not resigned she would are fired.Helen Thomas words against the Jews produced an outraged against Jews. For them it was discriminatory and that's why she needs to end her job.
