Lottery Post Journal

You can help

I am trying to get some positive reviews posted from people who are enjoying the new Lottery Results gadget.

If you would like to help, I would appreciate if you could take a few minutes of time to visit the following sites to register and post a positive review.  If you're looking to post "constructive criticism" I'd rather you posted it here in my blog, and keep reviews on the sites all-positive, 5-star reviews.

The reason is that people looking to download software don't take the time to carefully weigh your thoughts.  They just look at the stars posted and decide yes or no based on that.  So a nuanced review actually hurts the product, whereas a plainly-spoken positive review will help enormously.

Here are links to the places where 5-star reviews would be appreciated:

Your help is appreciated!

  • Got this error message on the first link, probably because I used my Foxfire browser.

Windows Live Gallery couldn't complete your request. We'd love to get your feedback about your experience. Thanks!

Please try again in a few minutes.

  • Todd, I voted just because it's you. If it had been anybody else I wouldn't have had anything to do with Vista.

I was able to do the 3rd, 4th and 5th links. The first one I got an error message. The second one I didn't get an email activation. I checked the junk mail. For some strange reason I got C-net again.

But the last link you don't have to register or leave a review just vote, but I don't see how it's showing on the stars. None of them are highlighted. I gave it a five.

  • Thanks Janet, much appreciated. I know it may not seem "squeeky clean" to ask, but that is what many people do to SINK people, so there is absolutely nothing wrong with counter-acting that. If these sites are not going to check legitimate star ratings, then it is important for any software developer to not take a back seat while it's being done to them.

It's not just about a gadget, and as anyone can see I am not asking for this for reviews to enrich myself. It is a FREE product. I don't make any money when it gets a good review.

If the gadget does well it may bring more people here. And more people here means more fresh ideas, enriched discussions, more predictions, etc. YOU ALL benefit from that.

I kinda hate spelling all this out, but it seems necessary based on some comments elsewhere.
