My grandson is a straight student in school. He said he is amazed that this country wants to re elect a criminal con man for president. They are discussing the upcoming political scene as part of their studies. I told him the republicans look the other way as to the numerous charges because the rich want their tax breaks. I told him this could be our future and its very troubling. They bash Biden but does he have 90 indictments and stormy daniels as his future running mate?

The lawsuits are legit MD. This country is in perilous time if Trump is re elected. Character doesn't matter to the republican party anymore. Ronald Regan is rolling over in his grave. If he was alive I doubt he would shake Trumps hand.
* Come on MD, you a grown a** person. Unlike yourself, l can't see myself supporting anyone who breaks the law, no matter how attractive their message. You have to " stand for something or stand for nothing." It's similar to hearing folks who deny the holocaust, they don't believe it happened or the amount of people that were killed.
* On over 200 years, we have never had a person who was President & upon losing, decided not to accept reality. Personally- had 45 accepted defeat & returned 4 years later to reclaim the WH, l would have asked why, but figured there was not stopping people from giving him a 2nd glance- but not accepting responsibility for anything & blaming the system for his loss was juvenile & immature to say the least.
* As for the charges bring politically motivated- l think not. Jean Carroll thong has nothing to do with politics. The Georgia thing is his of his own making- he refused to accept defeat & instead blames others.
* It's been documented that his own " staff" told him that every stone had been unturned- he still came up short. Here's a piece of information that's lost in his victory speeches- he denigrate his opponent,whether it's Ron or Nikki, the guy has no morals & if that's what draws people to him, then oh well.
* What l can't understand is his supporters always looking back at what it was like during his term in office, talking about gas prices, inflation etc etc. The world " turns " and so does events out of human control. He parades himself as the world's policeman, the " No one screws around" on my watch kinda thing. Funny how he couldn't keep Covid taking American lives when he went before the cameras and said " it will come by & before you know it, be gone." In hindsight-He was probably talking about his Presidency.
* Oops- distracted, here's a piece of info: Trump seems to have a problem with " independents" in both Iowa & NH. His base seems solid & they with him to the very end, for now- but he cannot pull off a win in the General Election IF he doesn't have their support, that's a fact!
* The Maga base is in denial as well,consider that 45 lost the popular vote in 2016, the same in 2020 as well & his behavior in the 4 years was disastrous. He has not changed one bit & that's what the base loves- thing is the country as a whole isn't for that crap. Will there be cracks in the Maga base if 45 is found guilty of ONE or more charges, who knows, but what's certain, is a fact that he is not as loved as he thinks he is, of he was- 99% of his picks on the midterms for the Senate would have won in landslides. Even Dr Oz who is universally known & had 45's backing lost.

Every thing being done against Trump is politically motivated. If it's not, then why did they wait till he announced he was running again to start all this stuff? Simple answer. They know he's going to drain the swamp. Till he announced, he was no longer a threat to the DS, as soon as he started running again they said, Nope we can't have that, we gotta get rid of him.

* My solution is this even though you will not agree with me: Trump should stop delaying all his indictments, just let the process play out... then if he is found not guilty, he can get right back on the campaign trail & work the crowds

Of course it's politically motivated. They're throwing these cases and indictments at him hoping for a conviction, thinking it will get rid of him but that's not going to happen. He's got a lot more proof of everything then he's let on and they know it. He's just waiting for the right time to bring it. Trust me on that.
If Biden really won that easy in 2020 with no cheating then there's no reason to go after Trump so hard, he could just do it again easy peasy. So why are they doing it, there's no reason to, right?
Truth is they're afraid of him because, to paraphrase George Carlin, It's a big club, and he ain't in it. And that's it in a nut shell.
The problem they have is they can't control Trump. He's got more money than all of them so they can't bribe him or buy him off. He's not a politician so he doesn't have any life long allegiance to the "party," and he hasn't been corrupted like a lot of them have. But the biggest thing is the people see all the stuff they're doing to him and know it's all made up BS. They're seeing the swamp in action and saying that ain't right. And the more they do to him the more exposed they become. He wants to drain the swamp, get rid of them all and the corruption, and put gov't back into the hands of the people which is what our founders intended.
Trump is "real". He doesn't need all this. He could just sit at home and enjoy life, but here he is out there every day, dealing with all this sht. Most couldn't or wouldn't want to. Gotta give respect for that alone.
