Barack Obama Not Worthy Of A Single Jewish Vote

Obama Negotiating Strategy Israel SC Barack Obama Not Worthy Of A Single Jewish Vote

I grew up in what can only be described as a “liberal” Jewish household in Peoria, Illinois.  We went to a “reform” temple where, when we were growing up, keeping kosher and certain other Jewish traditions of the “other” temple in town, the “orthodox” institution, were not observed.

It was often suggested that our congregation was so reform that it was actually Unitarian.

Amidst all of that liberalism, however, was a strong educational ethic, and we went to Sunday School at Temple Anshai Emeth until we were sophomores in high school.  We learned about Jewish traditions—observed or not—and we spent a lot of time learning about another Jewish interest that was a lot more fresh in the 50s and 60s—Israel.

Looking back, at age 60, it’s been a comparatively long time since Adolph Hitler exterminated something over six MILLION of my ancestors and, after World War II—when the extent of what Hitler accomplished in the way of genocide became clear—the concept of “never again” became very real.

It was out of the World War Two Holocaust that a Jewish state became a reality. A tiny little sliver of Middle Eastern land where Jews would always be welcome. A living memorial with a military force to make sure that another Adolph Hitler could not wipe the Jewish people from the face of the Earth.

Given the times—less than 25 years had passed—it was a little easier to put Israel into perspective for people of my generation.

Today, not so much. The words Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, Dachau, and Buchenwald no longer carry the instant ability to still a conversation—primarily because, except for students of history, very few people born after 1970 know where they are or their significance. Time has a way of making the horrible a little more acceptable.

And, apparently, Israel has not only become “inconvenient” for Barack Obama but for a large group of so-called Jews in the United States as well.

There is simply no other explanation for any Jew—and that’s the majority of them—who would support Obama in the next election.

Not only is he NOT a “friend” of Israel’s, but I don’t think he’s much of a friend of the Jewish people, either.

This is a guy who is purely focused on getting the reliable votes of a reliably liberal group while busily stabbing them in the back because the truth is that he doesn’t believe in or see the necessity of a Jewish state so that an Adolph Hitler can never again exterminate six million Jews. A Jewish state which is, was, and should always be strongly backed by the greatest freedom-loving nation on the face of the earth in the face of others who would gladly pick up where Hitler left off.

Jews have a tendency—because of their own struggles—to come down on the side of helping everyone. The U.S. civil rights movement is certainly a case in point.  Jews were in the forefront of equalizing the freedoms everyone in this country has.

Obama—who is half black—is a natural beneficiary of that.

It would seem, however, that he could pee on Israel in public—he actually has come close—and still get 70% of the Jewish vote.

Some of those votes come from so-called “Jews” who want a hard left line and are perfectly willing to throw Israel under the bus to accomplish that goal.

I would suggest that if you forget you are Jewish and that you had Jewish ancestors (some of whom died in German gas chambers with serial numbers tattooed on their forearms) and that absent a permanent reminder—like Israel—it could happen again, you are not very smart.  And one more thing.  Adolph Hitler killed EVERY Jew he could.  He didn’t sort them into liberals and conservatives.

If you think that defending the right to have an abortion, the right to get free birth control pills, and the right to have the government pay for your health care is more important than your ultimate right to practice the religion of your birth, than you are simply not thinking about the world in very clear terms. You have lost track of what the term “unalienable rights” really means.

If no other person of Jewish ancestry will say this in print because it is politically incorrect, let me be the one.

Barack Obama is dangerously close to being the anti-Semite that holds the most powerful job in the world who is a big enough amateur to allow Israel no support from the United States.  We may have had anti-Semitic Presidents in the past, but they at least were professional enough to know that they needed to support Israel and the Jewish people.

This guy is not.

And I’m pretty sure that any Jew who supports him is both supporting him for the wrong reasons and will live to regret that support.

Barack Obama doesn’t deserve a single Jewish vote, much less 70% of them.

Henry Kissinger said there will be no more Israel in 10 years.
Maybe he knows more than we do.
But it's shameful for modern day Jews to join with the party that hates them to throw Israel under the bus just to gain favor. Shortsighted and cowardly.
But when that happens the end will be upon us anyway.
