If Biden is elected the US will be back to supporting the world and placating other nations.
Maybe Biden will go on an apology tour.
Good. They need us more than we need them. In fact, they need to have their feet held to the fire for their unfair trade practices, their theft of technology and intellectual property, plus I don't know why Hollywood never raised hell, esp, since the Chinese are the worst about bootlegging the latest movies.

I was watching a show about high speed rail the other night and the "experts" were raving about other country's high speed rail network; Japan, France, Germany, Japan and esp. China's massive construction of their own rail system over just the last decade. I watched, all the while thinking "WE paid for that massive infrastructure." I think the same thing every time I see news of them launching a new submarine or aircraft carrier.   We are literally buying the rope with which they'll eventually use to hang us all.

The worst thing is that the biggest part of our trade imbalance is from buying cheap plastic crap.   I never understood why we can't make our OWN plastic crap! Oh, that's right, the unions want to pay some idiot $35/hr. plus benefits to stand in front of a spork extruder all day.

The Chinese have a huge system of trains that can go 200mph, but we got Amtrak, a private company that's mostly owned and subsidized by the Federal Govt., the trains that can get up to a hundred mph only on about 30 miles of track in the entire system.   Our own other infrastructure is falling down or crumbling, yet we would rather pay freeloaders than have them make plastic sporks at $9/hr.

It's now or never w/ facing down the Chinese; if we don't do it now, then we'd better get our kids and grandkids to learn Mandarin....and Spanish too, while they're at it. They're going to have to work for SOMEONE and it's gonna be our Chinese overlords. Someone is going to have to pay for the freeloader's standard of living; after all, they are "entitled" to it, thanks to the idiot leftists in govt.

/rambling rant off. I'm getting hoarse, have been screaming this for decades.
Banged that out really quick; said "Japan" twice. Sorry. This China trade imbalance worries me more than any other global issue. Thanks to their "one child" policy they've had for many years and most people wanting male children instead of female (and post-birth aborting the girl babies) they have an extremely disproportionate number of men....IOW "cannon fodder". The Chinese people are getting restless, having a taste of freedom (esp. economic) and the leaders might very well start a war with the U.S. in order to bring attention away from the unrest to that of "defending China against the American aggressors".

You don't think it can happen? Read about our dealings with another Asian country prior to WWII, Japan. Yes, Japan...maybe that's why I said it twice.
All I can say, is it's about time. They've gotten away with more than American public realizes. This will put us on equal terms, not the imbalance that has happened for decades.
Good. It's wonderful to say we have a President with spine. Nice change from the jellyfish we had for the previous two terms.
A little short term pain is a minor bleep when you look at the overall gains and benefit our country has in the horizon.
