Should Teachers Share Their Political Views With Students?

Nooooooooo
NO...!!!!!!!
That is part of the problem now!!! Parents think one way teachers think another way!!!!
No. They should be suspended w/out pay for the first offense and their employment terminated with the second; if a third offense occurs, then they should have their teaching certificate permanently revoked.

Plus, while there are many excellent teachers, on the whole they are doing a poor job. If they can't teach the "3 R's" very well, then I doubt they're well informed when they DO share their political views.
Absolutely not. That is what got us to this point already, beginning in the 1960's. Only then they taught their views were the only ones that mattered.
Parents need to be parents, then their children will have no need to ask the teacher about political matters. However if a child ask a question, the teacher has an obligation to try to guide the child in such a way that they will research for themselves what they want to believe. Children are carbon copies of their parents and will either agree with them or rebel for the he11 of it. As a retired teacher, I have witnessed both extremes.
A teacher foisting off their political views on impressionable young minds is as bad, if not worse, than a teacher touting their religion in a classroom.
This coming from an arm-chair quarterback is laughable. How much teaching experience do you have?
Oh, I can't claim to be a teacher as you do ("claim" being the operative word) but I have loads of real-world experience.

After all, I school you leftist pukes in here all the time, don't I?

In your case, it's "Those who can, do. Those who cannot, teach."
The majority of the teachers in Georgia, the state he claims he taught in, are not certified teachers. I know this because my granddaughter graduated Columbus State University, in Columbus, Ga, majoring in Spanish, taught for 3 years. She changed professions this year, because of the politics.
Neither one of you have the State Certification Credentials necessary to evaluate my teaching ability and qualifications for the job as teacher. I'm a graduate/postgraduate of the University of Georgia with a 4.0 gpa in the latter. I had a double major: Science/math. Because of my majors, I was in high demand. After a few years I went from good to excellent. The students gains on the State mandated test was evidence of my teaching ability. I retired as a Master Teacher that trained white/black student students the art of teacher. Carbo I taught in my right field for 31 years. Some do come into the teaching profession and teach in a field they are not CERTIFIED to teach in, but they are sent to classes needed to become certified and assigned a Mentor Teacher for 3-5 years. This teacher is picked by the principal of the school to be trained by Board of education and local college professor over the summer and certified by the Dept. of Ed. BTW, all of my principals were White males and we got along well. This means it's on your teaching certificate until you retire, and you will a mentor teacher at any school you transfer to. Teaching is not for every one-it's a calling.
"and you will be'
I retired as a Master Teacher that trained white/black student teachers the art of teaching.

I know most understand what I am saying, but I make corrections for the Troll Patrol because they have don't believe in making any mistakes, Not!

Speedy- If the DOD asked you how would we have the ability to target a missile to North Korea? What would your response be? A very simple question for a math teacher with a masters degree and a Master Teacher. BTW, I find it hard that in the state of Georgia they would use the term Master to define a teacher because of slavery??
CARBO, a Master teacher is one that has mastered their subject matter and has demonstrated it before the school administrators, Board of Education, and state department of Ed. It is these professionals that determines who meet the qualifications to be a Master teacher. Don't confuse Master Teacher with Master of slaves. The former is Master of curriculum, teaching strategies, and classroom management. The latter is a master of human beings that were treated as property and denied their GOD given rights, but GOD intervened and people like you is still angry about slaves being free.

CARBO, this thread is not about firing a plucking missile...you big dope!
This thread is about teaching! My question to you was about a math question that you claim to be a Master Teacher of the subject. If you can't answer my question, say so. I have caught you in a lie about security clearances and I have looked at Georgia Master Teachers List. The lists are not very long so your odds of being on one are very limited!!!
BTW, What year did you retire? The Master List only goes to 2006. Your blog started in 2005???
CARBO are you that stupid? I received my Master's Degree in 1985. I was recognized as a Master Teacher in 1989. This will be of no use to you without a name. You never disproved my secret clearance I had in the military. This too is impossible without a name. Since I have no intentions of giving out any more information, you will have to rely on your wacky and retarded suspicions, of which means nothing to me. I will still be a Vietnam Veteran and Retired Teacher regardless of your baseless accusations. SAD
Answer my math question, quit tap dancing. I do not believe that you had a clearance and you can't prove you did.
Carbo, go roll your old decrepit azz onto the expressway and play tag with the BIG MACK TRUCKS. LMAO
Speedy, I received an email from the GA Department of Education. Should I post it here or you want to come clean??
Post it so you can make another azz out of yourself. Plucking LIAR.

As I stated earlier it appears the list starts no older than 2006.

It appears this is handled by PSC.

You made an AZZ out of yourself again. There is no fool like an old smelly fool. SAD
In which way did I make an A$$ out of myself? I ask for An Master Teachers List, that link is what they sent. Other words, there were no Master Teachers List in 1985-2005, so how can you be on a list, when there isn't one. If you can prove there was a list in 1985-2005 why would the not show it?
Say GENIUS, did you bother to ask why they did not record until 2005? Case in point, there is a wall at UGA that now lists all the grads on it. This started in the 2000's. I am not on it, but my daughter is. Does this mean I was never graduated? No, because I have the year books and the two degrees, among numerous other awards hanging on the wall in my den. JEALOUS!
Then you can quit saying, you are on the Master Teachers List. You are Not on a Master Teachers List!!!! You are like Maxine, evert time you open your mouth, you lie!!!
You're just JEALOUS because this Black man's credentials are better than yours AND YOU CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT IT BUT BITCH. Yuk-Yuk-Yuk-Yuk...
There is nothing about you or anything you have that I would ever be jealous of! You just keep lying and posting your garbage, like that lying Obama. You and him have a lot in common!!!
Oh yes CARBO, you are JEALOUS. The bigot in your soul won't leave you alone. I feel kind of sorry for you. Instead of you enjoying your latter years in life, you have chosen to be a TROLL and ANTAGONIST. This is so SAD.
