Yes, Cruz, but let's corroborate on this thing for just a minute or two. I'm going to show you exactly where the problem is with yours and the NRA's statement which you have espoused. See, for the most, all of the recent and past shooters WERE ACTUALLY GOOD GUYS WITH GUNS, buddy, as they hadn't done any wrong or supposedly raised any red flags. That Farook and Malik (yes, I meant it that way 'cause they're an item) were a good guy and a good gal with legally purchased automatic rifles. He had a real good job and was never on the radar by ANYONE UNTIL AFTER IT WAS OVER. A good guy cannot counter the ELEMENT OF SURPRISE and, if Farook did his homework, he KNEW those who had firearms or had them on their person.

These people were prepared, with protective armor, for a firefight. Cruz, there was a large group of 'good guys' down the street called SWAT who weren't able to prevent those people from getting killed because....the ELEMENT OF SURPRISE IS THE BEST OFFENSE. YOU CANNOT STOP WHAT YOU CANNOT SEE OR DETECT. Anyone on this forum, RIGHT NOW, can go out shopping, to eat, or what have you and be an instant victim ANYTIME no matter what you're packin'. The Second Amendment can only help, Cruz, IF you have some advance notice of danger...PERIOD. This is THE BASICS IDEA OF HOW WE PLAY WAR GAMES...MINIMIZE OR DETER YOUR TARGET'S AWARENESS.

By the numbers: it only requires (1) gun with (1) round in the right place to become neutralized, or, to neutralize someone...if you're a good shooter. (1) round compiled with proper awareness of surroundings separates life and death PASS...Pro Active Shooter Situation. Once a shooter has drawn their weapon and is shooting, you only have split seconds to save yourself 'cause if they see you trying to go for your weapon, 'you're done' 'cause you're the threat now. This is why I've said in the past that if a person really doesn't care about dying, then Open Carry won't matter, and, can actually get you knocked off even quicker. That goes right back to EOS. To me, it's all about awareness and taking inventory of everyone and everything going on around me at all times. You can have your 2nd Amendment and a bazooka strapped to your side but, if you've already got even just a little .22 caliber pressed against the back of your head or temple.........lights out.

Farook had a security card which is required to swipe for entrance to the facility. Like I said in my first post, ADVANCE NOTICE AND AWARENESS VIA CAMERAS IN THIS CASE, WOULD'VE PREVENTED THIS ALTOGETHER REGARDLESS OF THE GUNS THEY HAD. They could've just locked the place down from entrance or exiting, called the police who would've also got that SWAT team on it and there'd be (14) people still alive with those same shooters STILL DEAD.
