The Obama White House, true to form, tried spin the trip as a public service that was part of Michelle Obama’s campaign to push her “Let Girls Learn” initiative and “Let’s Move” anti-obesity campaign.

Good grief. Everyone should deny themselves and streamline their lifestyles except for the Obamas.

Press reports make it evident the Obama entourage set aside substantial time for tourism. In London, Michelle Obama joined Prince Harry for afternoon tea at Kensington Palace.

Apparently, the Obama family continues to bill the taxpayers for costly tourism jaunts thinly disguised as humanitarian crusades. If Michelle Obama wants to take tea with Prince Harry or enthuse over Da Vinci’s The Last Supper, she is certainly entitled to do so, but not at taxpayer expense.

What the President is doing is perfectly legal and is afforded to ALL Presidents now. It is going to cost whatever the president does. He's POTUS, not some Congressmen. This is one of the reasons other leaders in the world envy our Presidents so much. When any President does something its done in a grand style. It will not change when President Obama leaves office in 2017. It will continue with the next President.

So, to sum it all up, let's imagine just for a moment that you had in your possession, an EBT card, one with no spending limit, and whatever you did spend, you'd never have to pay back. Then you'd know what it was like to walk a mile in Michelle Obama's designer shoes.

I can't relate to an EBT card but I know what you are trying to say. All I'm saying is that before we condemn the Obama's look at past Presidents. This was never an issue when a repub was in office. They took their share of vacations and sure spent tax-payers money.

Not often will I agree with you on any issue. Past Presidents have went on a lot of trips , but were talking about Michelle and the amount she has spent on vacations for no official function, that is where the problem lies with her lavish lifestyle which is totally out of context...!

In order to make an assumption, one must have some type of information to base it on. Unless you look at past First Ladies' spending habits, the claims made against Mrs. Obama is bogus and without merit.
