Democrat union members couldn't care less if they already broke the bank and are taking the whole town and everybody in it with them down the road to ruin and bankruptcy.

The city leaders all give huge tax abatement's to corporations to lure them there to bring jobs etc.
The same city leaders negotiate the contracts with the Unions and agree to the terms both sides negotiated.
After the tax abatement runs it course in 10 years usually they want more and bigger tax abatement's from the city leaders who based on the income tax revenue coming in gave their workers raises and benefits.
If the city leaders give in to the corporation to keep them there the tax revenues are less but the city costs have risen putting them in a deficit situation.
The people in the city still demand the services provided to them but the city has to lay off and/or cut services because of the loss of revenue due to the corporations demand for more subsidies or abatement's from the city.
If the city doesn't cave to their demands they pull out and go somewhere else to get what they demand leaving their employees behind and the city with even less revenue while demands for city services to its citizens remain the same and which the city can no longer afford.
Imagine the above scenarios played out nationwide with the outsourcing of good American jobs to 3rd world countries where they can pay slave wages with NO benefits and where,also,those countries just happen to have Government Provided Health Care in place.
The above JUST EXPLAINS what happened to a once great American Manufacturing Base where things were MOSTLY made in America to what it is NOW all because of Corporate Greed which does nothing to pass ANY of their enormously greater profit back to the American Consumer by way of lower prices for their goods.
