Mitt Romney takes Diane Sawyer to school

Watch how Mitt Romney avoids Diane Sawyer's totally ridiculous and irrelevant question about "connecting with regular people", and answers in the exact way that people around this country want to hear.  He lets her prattle on with her utterly stupid questions coming from supposedly "regular" people, and then...

And then watch one of the best, most succinct answers when Mitt is asked, "What would you say to Barack Obama?"

  • Well ,well I sit through that horrible 1 to 2 min of this Stiff and Mrs Romney ,because Todd always say you didn't even view the video, well I did it wasn't any schooling going on here a lot of dodging the questions for which he knows are a game changer for him. He don't connect with regular people like myself and other that don't have 100 mill in their bank or stocks .This isn't the Republican Party here ,this is the American People it's not your term until the American People speaks. You see you, Republicans run and run until it's their term. I hope he don't pack those bags too soon could be a long time ,according to our Latino brothers and sisters. I truly believe that Mitch McCorish and his big business buddy are holding off for the sake of trying to sink the Presidency of the President. Just unpatriotic.

  • It is time for this country to have a TRUE LEADER and not a Community Organizer. BO has proven that he does not have the skills to be a leader and I would like to see Sawyer sit down to ask BO certain questions that many Americans would like to ask and have him answer the questions with the TRUTH..BO must GO.

  • @louise: Well, I know you will not vote for any Republican, no matter what, so what you're saying is what I'd expect. I hope people vote for change this year -- a change back to prosperity, and out of this malaise the country is in.

  • BTW, I'm glad you watched the videos Louise. However, I'm not sure what the point is about his demeanor being "stiff". Is it really important that our president be "loose"? Should our president be a "regular guy"? We have seen where those two qualities lead this country -- into ruin. We need a president who knows how to lead by example, and has the proven experience and track record of success. That, by the way, (and among other things) is why I DID NOT want Santorum to win the nomination. Talk about an unmitigated disaster. He would be one disaster replacing another. I thought Romney would be a great leader back in 2008, when I voted for him myself in the New Jersey primary, even though McCain was set to win at that point.

If it's not race then it's wealth that you speak about.
Is there any happy medium that you can agree on?
You sprout up out of nowhere just to let your point be known. If you can honestly say, That you are better off Now compared to what you were before, congratulations you are one of a minority.
Not for nothing Louise, but it might be better if you opened your eye's ,before you open the megaphone.
Read my lips " Mitt Romney took Diane Sawyer to "SCHOOL".
It was really hard to sit and listen to that for two min. Huh?
It's been really hard to put up with this clown for 3 1/2 yrs.!

  • I can't watch the videos with my dialup but if it was the exchange where Mitt says "Start Packing" I saw it on the news. My wife and I honestly laughed out loud when we saw that. His comedic timing, delivery, body language and facial expression were impeccable on that. It was almost as if Sawyer was acting as his straight man. That has to be among his highlights of the campaign season. I still laugh thinking about it.
What made it even better was that it happened with Diane Sawyer. That woman grates on my nerves. She's become a caricature of herself, somewhat in the manner of Howard Cosell, but without his knack to be entertaining in the process. You find yourself wanting to tell her to stop playing the role of "Diane Sawyer" with all the pained facial expressions and such and just be a normal human being doing an interview rather than crafting and preserving her weird persona.

  • @Todd
I was for Romney then, also. But, I'm going to be truthful. Long before Reagan, I was a registered Republican, not always voting republican, but for the person I thought was the best for the job. I think Romney was the best man for the job in 2008 and now. He might be the only man who can turn this country around.
