Makes me want to become a Texan!

  • I wanted to end up in FLA. but it is lookin' more and more like Texas gulf coast! Perry will be the next US Prez. I can only dream, if he runs he gets the max contribution from this Marylander.

  • Makes me proud to be a Texan! You know, I'm from Ohio, and I love my "homestate". But there is a saying here in Texas; "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as quick as I could".
I have heard that Gov. Perry is quite happy to just be Governor, which is too bad if true. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson is going to run against Gov. Perry for Governor. She is supposed to be conservative, but we'll see in due time.
Todd, thanks for posting this video. I missed this. But then, I seldom watch news on TV anymore, except Fox News occasionally.

  • Great speech, thanks for posting. Think more states are considering same.

  • Isn't this the same Rick Perry who said it was only a "coincidence" that he & fellow Pubs received donations from the giant drug company Merck about a week before mandating that females in Texas over the age of 12 use the same drug company's cervical cancer vaccine?

Isn't this the same Rick Perry who accepted illegal campaign contributions from a developer?

Isn't this the same Rick Perry who began auctioning off parks in Texas to the highest bidder for drilling sites even though residents begged him to preserve them for their children?

  • Outstanding speechfrom Gov. Perry. Absolutely outstanding for taking a stand. What a difference of knowledge this Gov has compared to the symbolic one....!
Hopefully this will open other states to acquire some intestonal fortitude and follow suite....!!
Todd, thanks for posting this, and YES, he did nail it...!!!!!
JX, should'nt you be asking the same questions for the symbolic also, since I do believe he has done just about everything you've said Mr.Perry has. The symbolic one may be your Pres, but he sure the HELL isn't mine . Period..

  • Can you hear my laughs from here justexploring?

Any kind of talk about a Republican taking campaign contributions just bounces right off, causing great deals of heart-felt laughter.

Barack Obama takes the cake in every category of campaign corruption, bad money, nefarious business dealings, and every other category of crooked-politician relationships -- and he was elected President!

So you can throw anything you want at every Republican out there, and they all just sing Obamalama shish-koom-bah, go talk to the master of all crooked dealings!

  • @MADDOG: Have you picked up a copy of Liberty and Tyranny? It is jaw-droppingly amazing! All those instincts of "I've got a bad feeling about this" are given a voice, and it turns out that things have gotten far worse than you'd imagine. That story Rick Perry gives in the video about boiling a frog is the perfect analogy.

Mark Levin is a constitutional lawyer, so the guy knows his stuff. What makes him special is his ability to clearly communicate in an un-lawyerly manner -- and un-apologetically!

When you get the book it is surprisingly thin and light -- easily less than 300 pages -- but as you go through it you start to realize how dense the information is, because he doesn't treat you like a neophyte -- he gets right to the point.

  • Mark Levin is the man! I had the pleasure of shaking his hand at a book signing. Liberty and tyranny differentiate across a divide, that once crossed, is excruciatingly painful to return from. Right now we are on the side of that precipice that harbors LIBERTY, he is a sentinel clearly warning of the danger of crossing into tyranny. It is being done by incrementalism of a creeping mestastisizing destruction of the Constitution, let's not go to the dark side.

You have idiot countrys like Spain threatening law suits against former administration officials? And the PUPPETOTUSPOS isn't saying a GDAM thing! This weakens our liberty. Break relations with these fascists. No more tourism to Spain.

  • I'm ordering the book.

  • Excellent read on the book Todd, going to order it,or maybe two (2) and give the other as a gift to someone who doesn't believe in the conservative manifesto.. (   Ha Ha ), what a gift that would be...!!

  • *Everyone* who calls themselves an American should read that book, not just conservatives, so they can evaluate the facts for themselves, and decide if they truly believe the information they've been force-fed by the teacher's unions, mainstream media, and Hollywood elites for decades.

See for yourself the important turning points in the last 100 years, and understand the road map of how we got to where we are today. For that matter, just understanding where we are today is a good reason to read the book.

Understand what is meant by the "founders". What were their motivations? What were their intentions? All of that information was documented over the years (including by the founders themselves), but people who want to lead you down a *different* path than they charted have decided to omit that information from the public discourse.

Liberals and conservatives alike will learn how your non-representing Representatives in government are not guided by either liberal or conservative values. They are statists (STATE-ists), and they are not working with your interests in mind.

Glad to hear you're going to pick up the book. I hope more people do.

Liberty and Tyranny is #1 on the NY Time best-sellers list:

  • I apologize to those who had to read the angry, racist remarks post in the comment above this one. Unfortunately, the comment was on my blog for several hours before I finally noticed it.

@louise black: Please refrain from posting comments on my blog, unless you can refrain from the type of racists personal attacks that you demonstrated in your comment. On my Web site, people are allowed to disagree with each other, and in the blogs they are even allowed to disagree with their government. However, one thing we don't allow is angry rants designed to attack people rather than their ideas.
