First Challenging Interview for Obama Camp of Entire Campaign

Look how stunned Joe Biden looks when he's asked hard questions.

At one point he asks, "I don't know who's writing your questions..."

Well, Joe, it certainly ain't NBC News!

Apparently after this interview, the Obama camp said they are punishing this TV station.

And that's exactly what will happen in an Obama administration: outright intimidation and censorship.

Here we go! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQXcImQfubM

  • Check out what happened after the interview:
    --------------
Biden so disliked West's line of questioning that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate's wife.

"This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election," wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.

McGinnis said the Biden cancellation was "a result of her husband's experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West."
    --------------
This is scary stuff. Punishing the news media when they ask hard questions. You people who shrug this stuff off really aren't thinking this through.

  • This is why he is more than likely going to be president. When voters see everyone against him saying silly stuff about "socialist," "marxist," "spreading the wealth," "Joe the Plumber" and whatever else tickles their fancy, they run out and vote for Barack Obama, not John McCain/George Bush. Oh yeah that's right, the voting machines are changing their votes for Obama to McCain/Palin/Bush and no one know why. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    By NBey6, at 12:44 AM

  • Looks like Biden was pretty stunned that this reporter doesn't understand what 52% of the rest of us understand about the Obama/Biden proposals. She pretty much tried to twist every question to portray Obamas proposals as being wrong for America's middle class and poor.
McCain's camp keep trying to push this scare tactic, because his fear is that when Obama and Biden get into office, the team will work on these proposals that will affect him and his interest. As stated by Biden, Americans making under $200,000.00 a year won't be affected by the tax increase. I don't know about you, but I don't make anywhere near $200,000.00 a year.
I believe Biden did pretty good in this interview. And youtube did a good job showing how conniving the McCain camp is.
McCain made two big mistakes in this campagne, first, firing his first campagne advisers, second, picking Sarah Palin as his running mate. I believe if he had chosen anyone else and kept his original advisers the numbers would be closer.

  • Put any Republican in place of Biden in this interview, let the interviewer ask similar Democrat talking point questions ......... and you all would give hands down approval.

Hard ball convoluted questions along with distorted press commentary directed toward Republicans have been norm for several years.

Amazing when the heat's turned up everyone's crying foul.

    By konane, at 9:22 AM

  • Good day comrades! Just wait till they get a hold of the justice dept.. History shows exactly what is going to happen, STUDY HISTORY!!!!!!!!! I know people from Cuba, Venezuela, Russia, China..................
When Fidel was "campaigning" he was a charismatic lovable guy, people were so excited they were were naming their children Fidel. Cuba, within several months was ruined and to this day is still another failed experiment of communism.

John Heinlein said in one of his books: "Democracy ends when people figure out they can vote themselves money".

This is true, but the ugly secret is you are not going to get any money, you are going to lose money and freedoms.

Dont count your chickens until they come home to roost.

    Barry's campaign is a $700,000,000 deception.

  • @Litebets27 & NBey6: If you think that you won't have your taxes raised by Obama, you're going to be in for a surprise!

Do you actually think that someone who calls a cash handout a "tax cut" is going to actually cut your taxes? Once your handout of $1,000 (or whatever it will be) is consumed, what then? Your taxes will still be whatever they are now, but then will be raised in following years. Bill Clinton did precisely the same thing, do you not recall? He promised tax cuts, but rasied them after becoming president.

He WILL raise your taxes, whether it's on the front end or the back end. In other words, a common tactic of Democrats is to trumpet a income tax cut, while RAISING your other taxes. What taxes? How about the death tax, interest income tax, taxes on companies that end up raising prices in order to pay them, reduced income tax deductions, increased real estate taxes, and every other type of tax.

All of the other taxes affects you and affects the entire economy. Remember what happened under Carter? I do. His tax and spend policies ("spreading the wealth around"), plus his cuts of the military (something else that will happen under Obama) near sunk this country. Thank God he was ousted after a single term!

If I put my blinders on and ignore all of these things, I'm sure I would go through life a lot happier, but it's not in my character to put the blinders on. All of these things are what Obama has already promised, so it's not like I'm making this stuff up. The economy WILL suffer, and so will everyone voting for him.

  • The quash the Barry people have put on a plumber and now this TV station in Florida is only the tip of the iceberg. Imagine what they've done to an ordinary citizen plumber happening to YOU! These leftists have stolen the democratic party by playing the race card and silencing critics by accusation and threats. It is despicable they've played this way, they are liars from the get go starting with the lie Barry promised for campaign funding, McCain stuck to his promise but not Barry. Do you trust a liar making campaign promises?

They will use the justice dept. to silence dissent, the 1st amendment will be the first casualty, then the 2nd. amendment by proclamation.   The fairness doctrine will be passed, if this happens, hold on.

    By jarasan, at 3:53 PM

  • Tough it out Joe. They do this to Palin all the time. The shoe's on the other foot now, eh?

As to Obama's tax plan - he will let the Bush tax cuts expire in 2010 and that is when EVERYONE's taxes will go up. But you know that he will say he didn't raise them, and he will be right - on a technicality.

    By Piaceri, at 9:51 PM

  • Here is Obama's tough interview for the week: sitting down with Mario Lopez on Extra!!

"On Saturday in Nevada, Obama sat for an exclusive interview with Mario Lopez, the actor who played "A.C. Slater" on "Saved by the Bell," to air on the TV show "EXTRA."

According to the promotional materials from "EXTRA," "Asked about the tragic news that (actress Jennifer) Hudson's mother and brother were killed Friday in Chicago, Obama states, 'Oh it was heartbreaking, in fact I'm still trying to get a phone number to call her at this tragic time. She is somebody who has campaigned for me, she also lives in my community. So, we're really going to have to help her and pray for her and her family during this difficult time.'" "

    By Piaceri, at 9:58 PM

  • Obama sure does tug at my heartstrings. (*sniff*)

He has time for that B.S., but hasn't had the time to do a press conference in the PAST MONTH. What a stand-up guy. What nerves of steel.

    By Todd, at 10:23 PM

  • @Piaceri: Don't worry, he won't wait until 2010 to raise taxes. He obviously knows he can fool a very large group of Americans into believing that his $1,000 hand-out is a "tax cut". It is no such thing, and the taxes of the recipients of the hand-outs (I'll be one of them myself) will go on paying the same taxes, and will see all their other taxes go up. Income tax is one of dozens of taxes that people get charged every day, and Obama sees dollar signs in his eyes.

    By Todd, at 10:27 PM

  • thank god i wasn't reading this bull when the election was going on ALL i have to because you all are full of s_ _ t.

By louise black, at 10:20 PM

  • Um, no, I'm not the one who is full of s**t. Obama is the one who has done nothing but lie to the American public. Obama is full of it, and everything he is doing is wrecking this country for future generations. He is a classic tyrant, imposing his will on everyone -- exactly what liberalism does NOT stand for. He is not a liberal, he is a statist.

    By Todd, at 10:26 PM

  • Well the President isn't imposing his will on the people. After all it's the people who elected him overwhelmingly to do their will that was to give universal healthcare to everyone and put a end this unjust war Brush started. Please don't forget the job mkt. The American people need hope and solution not tax cut for the rich their doing fine. there are more common people than not.I am a liberal sometime then Iam smack in the middle most of the time.DO you really know what tyrant is you wouldn't call the President one more like George Brush going into a solvent nation   taking out their equivalent(President) because of personal gain that's fact.

By louise black, at 1:48 PM

  • I didn't realize that all those people voted for Barack Obama because they want universal health care. Are you really under that illusion? I'd say a good quarter of the people who voted for him did so because of one of his lies -- like the middle class tax break that he lied about.

All the things liberals said they hated about George Bush are the things they are giving Barack Obama a pass on -- lying (big-time), having corrupt people in the administration, sending more troops overseas, out-of-control spending, etc., etc.

Many people obviously don't have the ability to see all the problems Obama is creating until they have literally ripped apart the fabric of society as we know it. If it because you are so heavily personally invested in Obama, or because you're just ignoring the warning signs?

Enjoy your facist police state -- because you'll be silenced if you don't.

    By Todd, at 10:02 PM

  • I never back away from good fight especially when it's for a good cause, but pardon me are you threating me with a gag rule of some kind .why is that you people alway name call when you can't make a good point or present valid argument. It's sad funny in way most time it's pot calling the kettle black. No President Obama is the hopes of million of people that the reason he don't take sides in the sometime very unequal and unjust nation.I did say sometime every once in awhile they get it right, this time they did so get off the man back and let him do the job the American people elected him to do . ''   Do you not have any decency sir"   to take phase from one that most people thinking like youself would call an hero McCarthyism. One last question to a true conservative as such when is enough is enough that why I can't and will never understand why the Blacks the few there of and poor any group will vote Republican. PEACE OUT !!!!!

By louise black, at 4:37 PM

  • What do you mean "you people"? What exactly are you calling me?

It's not ME who is silencing you. In fact, I welcome a good debate. It is Obama and his administration of statists who are silencing open debate.

I will most certainly NOT get off his back. I believe it was the anti-war liberals who made a big point of saying that dissent is true patriotism. So why are you trying to shut me up? Should you not be welcoming the points I am making about Obama ripping apart the fabric of this country?

You will never agree with me because you have obviously tied yourself personally to that guy. Just remember, he's just a guy, nothing special. Not the chosen one, not the next coming, just a guy. Nobody should be elevated to "perfect" as you seem to have done.

Yes, I said it: he is perfect in your eyes. How else could you mount such an impassioned defense and state that I should not criticize him? A President who is not open to criticism must in fact be perfect, because American Presidents are among the most criticized people in the world.

    By Todd, at 2:09 PM

  • I do agree with you that the American Presidents are the most criticized President in the that will agree because it's true . But please keep expressing yourself we need a healthy dialogue ,but you know you don't need my permission that what free speech is all about i do believe in the Constitution. No the President don't walk on water after all he is only a man but i must add a good one he 's fair i like fair people. So see we do agree on something.you have give him credit for the scruzry he's under he holding up in good spirit.in spite of the instant make it right   nay sayers.you people are those that are not willing to give something different a chance. Until next time i am out!!!!

By louise black, at 5:32 PM

  • Well, now that you see how it feels to have "your guy" criticized, hopefully you can see how what the liberals and the media did to George Bush for 8 years was scandalous. Obama is getting only a tiny sliver of what GWB got for his stretch of 8 years. Constant, daily pounding in the newspapers (led by the NY Times), on TV, in Congress, and on the Internet. It was relentless, and it is easy to see how the public slowly began to change its perception of the man over time as they had this negative message drummed into their heads.

George Bush did not get one single day where they laid off of him -- right from the start. If you recall, for practically the entire first year we all heard nothing but "he stole the presidency" (which obviously he did not), and then after 9/11 we had to listen to the Democrats and the media pounding day after day that "the war is lost" (which it obviously was not).

If anything, there should be universal praise that the guy accomplished what most people thought was impossible -- he won the war against Al Queda in Iraq. It is now safer to walk the streets of Baghdad than it is to drive a car in California. The world no longer has the murderous dictator to contend with (Saddam Hussein). We can now deal with the Iran nuclear threat without having Saddam breathing down our necks and distracting us. (Although we'll probably see that Obama will not deal with Iran with enough force, and they will end up with nukes.)

George Bush single-handedly accomplished all of that, despite the incredible level of vitriol directed at him. It's almost unthinkable that he was able to do it.

Methinks Obama has some big shoes to fill, and right now he's looking like the Junior Varsity team.

    By Todd, at 2:23 PM

  • I   find it disengenuine that the Republicans and you would say that Iraq is safer now that Hussein isn't in charge of his country. It also sadden me to think that America would do things like asassinate the head of countrys just because they don't share our belief. Those my sir are wrong . Our ideal world isn't exactly what others in different part of the world call ideal for them. We shouldn't be in that business.Well i hate to break the news but are not safer than before, do you not paid attention to the reaction of the people in other country, how they alone with his own people dislike the last President. He and Cheny made us the most hated in the world at one time and that don't make us safer. It made other that other wise would never join Al Queda against us join in order to slay a giant. We need to tough when call for but show the good in a great nation also that me proud to be an american.I have faith in the President, he will get us through this mess.By the way why you think President Obama isn,t ready prime time you better hope your wrong ,i already know your wrong he 's better equipped than George Bush was.The war has not been won we still there!!!!!!

By louise black, at 11:32 PM

  • You obviously have no clue as to what you're talking about. No clue at all. Saddam Hessein was not "assasinated" as you say. Not even close. As a matter of fact, we showed tremendous restraint and trust in the new Iraqi government. We captured him alive and turned him over for a proper trial, where he had an overly-fair trial, especially considering how he raped and murdered hi citizens for years.

Stop getting your opinions from TV and such. It has warped your judgment. I'd love to hear your sources of information.

    By Todd, at 1:05 PM

  • I said that we shouldn't be in the business of ass-as-sin-ating other head of state because we don't care for their way of conducting their affairs . Yes i follow the mock trial that was selected by the Bush Admin. No that one thing about Dems they think for themselves more than i can say for the Repub. He was treated like a dog when drag out of the hole with lights being shine in his mouth, Oh! i follow it alright, i will still say he was assassinated in a high tech.way i must say it was clever the way they pull that off . There is always a way to make the obvious seem oblivious to the ones, who so desperately want to see this monster dictator. It's strange how he kept that country together without the likes of Al Queda taking over his country, they wasn't even there inspite of what   the Bush Admin.said don't believe the height I not stupid!!!!!!!!!!

By louise black, at 12:26 AM

  • Well, you are just plain wrong.

You are far gone -- either paranoia or such deep-seeded resentment that you are willing to believe the lies of the most radical fringe elements of society. That you would believe the rantings of terrorists over those people in your country charged with protecting us speaks volumes about your character.

Are you really that ignorant that you think anyone said anything about "Al Queda taking over Iraq" while Saddam Hussein was in power? It is not worthy to have a debate with someone who cares so little about current events and facts that they get all their information from a friend or something, rather than picking up a newspaper to learn about something first-hand. Because nobody ever said Al Queda was "taking over" Iraq. They said that Saddam Hussein was meeting with representative from Al Queda, becuase they had a shared interest in seeing Americans (like you and me) suffer.

This is a waste of time, because I am debating with someone who will not loet the facts get in the way of their hatred and/or resentment.

    By Todd, at 9:10 AM

  • SO BE IT, MY LOVE OF COUNTRY IS OBVIOUS DIFFERENT FROM YOUR .MY FREEDOM IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME THAT WHY I BELIEVE IN THE FREEDOM FOR ALL MANKIND THAT IN ITSELF WILL INSURE MY OWN. WE DON'T HAVE TO BE SUPERIOR TO LEAD JUST AND NOBLE NATION WE ARE PEOPLE WITH GOOD INTENTION MOST OF THE TIME.AS FOR WHAT YOU THINK OF ME IT DOESN'T MATTER! IHAVE ALWAYS TOOK A STAND FOR WHAT'S RIGHT.YOU MAY THINK BECAUSE WE CAN STAND AGAINST OTHER LESS ABLE COUNTRIES AND WIN . THAT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO .IHAVE NO DOUBT THERE ARE THOSE WHO THINK LIKE YOU BUT I AM WILLING TO BET THERE ARE MORE OF ME THAN YOU .IT WOULD BE THE SAD AMERICA WE KNEW OR READ ABOUT IN THE 19TH CENTURY AND 20TH.MAKE NO MISTAKE I AM AMERICAN AS THEY COME ,WITHOUT BEING BIBLE TOTING ,GUN WHEELING CRAZY.I STILL SAY YOU MUST TREAT ALL WITH RESPECT THAT WAY YOU BE RESPECT AND NOT FEARED. I RATHER BE RESPECT THAN FEARED.YOU CO-EXTIST WITH RESPECT BUT IF YOU FEAR ,YOU WANT TO DESTROY!THAT A FACT!!! STUDY HISTORY DON'T TAKE MY WORD   AFTER ALL I AM IGNORANT.AREN'T YOU GLAD WE CAN CO-EXTIST IN THE SAME COUNTRY AND NOT AGREE GOD I LOVE THIS COUNTRY.

By louise black, at 11:02 PM

  • I guess when you sense that you're losing the debate you start lying about things that I've said. The amusing thing is that anyone can easily look up on this page and see that you're making it up.

Also, typing in ALL CAPS makes your text very hard to read. It does not make it more effective or emphatic.

Taking out Saddam Hussein was exactly the right thing to do. It liberated an entire country and mad the world safer -- at the expense of our young men and women. This country pays the ultimate sacrifice time and time again, so that other, less fortunate people around the world can prosper.

You see our action from the perspective of those who want to maintain the status quo, not through the eyes of the people whom we have liberated.

Do you not recall that it was because of countries like France doing the same for us more than 200 years ago that we are able to exist today as a free nation? Maybe I assume too much. You don't exactly sound like a history buff.

    By Todd, at 7:34 AM

  • YEH! RIGHT LIKE I SAID BEFORE,BUT IT'S OBVIOUS YOU DIDN'T HEAR IT WHICH DOESN'T SURPRISE ME! BECAUSE PEOPLE LIKE YOU TRY TO TALK OVER PEOPLE INSTEAD OF TALKING TO THEM. BUT HERE I GO AGAIN IT'S BETTER TO BE RESPECTED THAN TO BE FEARED ,HISTORY HAS AND WILL TEACH THAT! APPARENTLY YOU'RE NOT A HISTORY BUFF EITHER. YES WE AND OUR ALLIES PROMISE NEVER AGAIN WOULD WE LOOK AWAY OR TURN ADEAF EAR FROM        THE CRIES OF DEFENESS PEOPLE WHILE SUFFERING ATROCIOUS TREATMENT AT THE HAND OF TYRANTS NO MATTER WHERE THEY ARE.IT'S IRONIC THAT I JUST TWO DAYS AGO SEND " THE MORNING JOE" AN E-MAIL SAYING SOMETHING LIKE THIS STOP BAD MOUTHING THE FRENCH BECAUSE IF IT WASN'T FOR THEIR HELP IN THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION WHERE WOULD WE BE TODAY .PERHAP SUBJECTS OF THE QUEEN. HA! HA! THAT SUPPOSE TO BE FUNNY.BUT ONCE AGAIN THE RIGHT WING CRAZIES THINK YOU JUST CAN BULL DOZER OVER PEOPLE AND THING THAT DON'T FIT INTO THEIR SMALL WAY OF THINKING.I STILL LOVE THIS COUNTRY THE POSSIBILLIES ARE ENDLESS. ESPECIALLY THE PROGRESSSIVE POINT OF VIEW.CHECK YOUR SELF BEFORE YOU TRY LECTURE SOME ONE ELSE ON HISTORY.

By louise black, at 3:42 PM

  • Boy oh boy, it's very hard to read that text in ALL CAPS. It's possible that you're saying something coherent, but I can't get through it to tell.

If you want to type something in normal text, I'll try to read it, but with all those capital letters, it might as well be Egyptian hieroglyphics.

It also helps to break up your thoughts into paragraphs, but I don't want to ask too much.

Anyway, I hope that someday you grow up and start to maturely evaluate the world around you. Do not evaluate people on the basis of their skin color or political party, but rather what effect they will have on you and your friends and loved ones.

Try to understand that when you view the world through the lens of hatred and bitterness, you are only hurting yourself and those around you.
