WOTW was good
A very dark, disturbing sci-fi movie — exactly what I was looking forward to — but with a little too sudden of a deus ex machina at the end.
I saw the first showing of the day.
The only thing that hurt the movie for me was this one guy sitting one row behind me, who kept clearing his throat literally every ten seconds. Annoying!

What do you mean when you say. "deus ex machina"?

That is a term used from Shakespearian times, and it is a kind of miracle that occurs that takes the characters from the brink of disaster to be saved. Kind of like, when all appears to be lost, all of the sudden something happens out of the blue to make everything OK.
Anyone who has seen the 1953 movie knows the deus ex machina that is used to make everything OK, but in this version it just happens without the religious tie-in -- it just happens for no reason. (In the 1953 version, at least they were all PRAYING for a miracle.)
