Our judicial system is based on innocent until proven guilty. Timing is interesting, and why didn't any of these accusations arise in previous campaigns?

That's the trend over the last few weeks, accuse someone of sexual harassment.
People don't seem to realize when they fake a claim, it diminishes those who suffered real emotional pain.
It's also teaching young girls to just scream harassment when they don't get their way.
Ugly ugly trend . When does just simply asking someone out turn into a crime?

I do not know if he is innocent or guilty but this whole think reeks with timing. After 40 years. Really.
If he voluntarily withdraws would be admitting guilt.

Thanks Sully. Accusations always serve to tarnish the reputation of the accused even if absolutely proven to be false. If there were issues why were those issues not addressed previously?

Thanks JAP. I have no way of knowing but agree it reeks with respect to timing. I hope he chooses to fight if he's indeed innocent.

Additionally if someone with less knowledge of the law and meager means to defend themselves is accused, can they effectively defend themselves. Or do they take a plea or what?

Thanks JAP. Yes they are. I think past accusations which were proven unfounded have been used in custody cases.

I agree with the others...I saw where the Washington Post went searching for any kind of dirt no matter how long ago on judge Moore...I wonder if these women were paid a lot of money for this or not.

I guess if the money was right they could look convincing & cry on TV....then again I just don't know but it does look very suspicious coming out so soon before the election is final...if he is innocent I hope he gets elected!...what happened to "presumed innocent until proven guilty"!

Thanks Vergie6. There are a lot of unanswered questions. I wonder where that crumb trail might lead back to?

We've seen accusers of others paraded out on tv only to disappear. Will these do that also?
