Cops Tazer Child 19 Times Leaving Him in a Coma

Comments:
They have enough combined muscle power to stop someone and cuff them and that is how it should be done. A taser should not be used until a cop is hurt, stabbed or shot. Depending on those circumstances, they should use deadly force if necessary as well. Otherwise, the cops are using a potential deadly, harmful weapon that isn't needed.
My first reaction was if I were that kid's parent, I'd be looking for a really good attorney. I hope the kid has no permanent body damage, mind and brain function intact .... most of all no lingering trauma.
When cops make all citizens (NOT 'civilians') their enemies, they are creating enemies that weren't there in the first place. This is not a good tactic and will backfire on them when they need citizen cooperation the most.
Gee, how could that happen?
Well, let's see; we elect lawyers and accountants to run our nation's government, and then we allow them to appoint their friends and relatives to key positions of power, regardless of their qualifications or prior experience. We let them tell us, "You MUST be afraid! It's very dangerous to live in America today!" Rather than watching out for and protecting our neighbors, we cry, "Why doesn't the government DO something to make America safe again?" "Well, all right," they reply, "We'll hire MORE cops but, don't forget - you asked us to do this."
Across America, newspaper ads appear, proclaiming, "Wanted: Men and women who were bullied as children, can't hold down a job and who can't find their own butts with both hands (High School graduates and people with IQ's above 100 need not apply). Want to get even? Want to push people around with NO FEAR of retribution and NO DANGER of being held accountable for the crimes you commit? Become a Police Officer! Great pay (including graft)! Free stuff (whatever you can steal)! Work when YOU want to, and STILL get paid! PAID suspensions when you get into trouble; PAID administrative leave when someone tries to sue you for shooting them for no reason; PAID legal representation by the Attorney General himself; PAID leaves of absence to deal with your trauma when you kill unarmed people who present no threat to you! CALL TODAY!"

The police in this country have become the largest, best-organized and most dangerous gang in America. I'm NOT kidding about the "No IQ'S above 100" part. This is actually a requirement in many departments across the country because, they say, "We don't want to spend thousands of dollars training a police officer, just to have him quit when he discovers it's boring work. We find intelligent people become bored very quickly with police work, so we tend to recruit those with little education and IQ'S between 90 and 100." That quote is from a 2001 newspaper article in Connecticut, about a man who sued, and lost, when several departments in that state refused to hire him because "he scored too high on the intelligence test (the man's IQ was 130)." He finally gave up trying to be a cop, and became a prison guard instead (I suspect he was a nerd who was also bullied when he was a kid, and now he just wants a badge and gun in order to settle some imagined score ("Who's pushing whom around now??? I said, Put Your Head in That Toilet, Convict!").

In Indiana, a cop who employs a taser or stun gun uses a "Non-lethal device designed to encourage or to facilitate the compliance of an uncooperative subject, suspect or witness." When a CITIZEN uses a taser or stun gun, it's defined as a "Deadly Weapon." These are Indiana Statutory definitions, so why the glaring disparity?

Given my own experience over the past three years, I remain CONVINCED that honest cops are now the exception rather than the rule. These days, an honest cop doesn't stand a chance, and maybe that's why they just refuse to hire smart people who can think for themselves, and who know the difference between right and wrong.

When the long arm of the law reaches for you (and it will, even though you haven't done anything wrong), stand up and fight back! Just because they're cops and you're not doesn't mean there's nothing you can do. I'm not advocating physically striking any police officer (that will only get you a one-way ticket to jail, along with a beating in a back room while handcuffed (they don't like it when you can fight back)). However, there are basic things you can do to defend yourself against a bully with a badge. For example: If you're arrested for ANYTHING, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give a statement to the police. Keep your mouth SHUT and give your statement to your attorney. NEVER plead "Guilty" to ANY charge - not even to a parking ticket (and ESPECIALLY if you really are guilty). THEY brought the charges; FORCE them to do their jobs and PROVE their case in a court of law. They'll tell you,"If you don't accept this plea agreement, things will be much worse for you if you're convicted at trial." Translation: "We can't prove these charges, and we need your Guilty plea so the prosecutor can call it another conviction, and so the cop who arrested you can get his picture in the paper." FORCE them to spend the money to PROVE your guilt. Allow the court to appoint a Public Defender for you. You DON'T want this idiot representing you at trial, because he doesn't care whether you go to prison or not (he makes the same $240 whether you're acquitted or convicted), but let him do the expensive part at no cost to you. The filing of motions, deposing witnesses and doing all the leg work generated by such a case can be quite expensive, so take advantage of the system and let your tax dollars benefit YOU for a change. Then, when everything is in order and a date has been set for your trial, FIRE your Public Defender a week or so (maybe just a few days) before the trial begins, and hire yourself a good $500-an-hour criminal-defense attorney. This will buy more time while your new attorney is brought up to speed, and will save you TONS of money, since now you'll only be paying his hourly rate. Keep phone calls to your new lawyer to a minimum, because he can (and will) bill you for the time he spends talking to you on the phone. One last thing: If you need to have an extended conversation with your attorney, take him to lunch and discuss your case over a meal. Pay the check with a credit card and keep the receipt, and you won't be billed for that hour (double-billing is illegal).

Cops belong on a leash (which should, by now, be obvious to everyone who has clicked the link above), just as all other servants of the public do. If they're allowed to continue victimizing us, they'll only become more aggressive, more brazen and more dangerous to those they're charged with protecting. It's time we gave their leash a good, HARD jerk to remind them of their true collective role in American society. If they can't deal with that, or would simply rather not comply, then they must be replaced with smarter, more reasonable and more mentally and emotionally stable applicants.

Thanks Rick!! We definitely are not their enemy, the perps are. Maybe the quota system has something to do with the problem. Seems in this case they picked on someone helpless, treating that person as if they were a wacked out on drugs ninja.
Thanks Jim!!! Happy to have you back!!!   You said "we elect lawyers and accountants to run our nation's government".

Believe government officials as a whole are out of touch with the people too busy enriching themselves, therefore want fear be applied to citizens who may take note of what they're doing. First one that comes to mind is Washington that's unfortunately set the tempo for the rest.
Jim here's an article containing several live links to further confirm points in your comments.

"Why Are Cops Tasering Grandmothers, Pregnant Women and Kids?

Thanks for the link, Konane!

Interesting read, but they left out the most glaring and disturbing answer to the title question: "Because they can."
