Well, as one of the "working poor" at that time, I can tell you it worked great. And Bush Sr. took back his words and said he was wrong (which he was).

I was happy to have an entry level job at that time in a restaurant. Too bad in the last 4 years that restaurant closed (along with at least 50% of the other shops in the mall) and there is no sign of things getting BETTER any time soon.

For most people, trickle down economics did not work...but let me make it personal, it did not work for me and I was in the military during reagonomics. Whether Bush SR meant what he said about voodoo economics, we will never know because all politician lie to achieve their goal.

Correction: I was in the military during Nixon's presidency and in the work force during reaganomics. Both economies were brutal for me.
