Now this is gold mining

Puts those drama queens to shame on the tv show. A small operation like this and check in the vid how much gold they pull out by the hour. I forgot right now.

There are lots of vids on you tube about prospecting.

Mowed the lawn again

ROFL

Did not do leaves last fall. I have a mulcher bagger mower so I mow the leaves rather than rake. I have a blower to blow the leaves away from the foundation and other tight spots. Crank up the mower, RUUUMMM, RRUUUUMMMM. mow the leaves and bag them. Get a lot of leaves in a bag too. Daamm bags are 50 cents each. I have quite a few leaves in my yard but I get the front and back yard done with about 6 bags. If I raked it and put them in the bag by hand would have been about 25 bags.

The best trick is to wait until the leaves are nice and crispy. Mulches up into nice fine pieces. put the leaves in the bag and compress it down. Do about 4 or 5 mower bags per leaf bag compressing down. Thumbs Up

Probably saved 10 dollars in bags. What can I buy with 10 dollars. Large box of oatmeal, couple loaves of bread, Couple dozen eggs, Margarine, maybe a little left over for jam. Cheers

That right there is enough for breakfast for about 6 weeks for one person. Big Grin

The truck came today and took what I had ready. I had 1 bag and a trash can full. They will dump the trash can in the truck and throw the bag in. I was in the back yard and missed his arrival otherwise I would have run out and dumped the bag in the truck myself and used the bag again. 50 cents gone to waste. Thats almost a half dozen eggs. Bang Head

Save those nickles, dimes, quarters and half dollars. Could save you from going hungry one day. Approve

You ever toured the world from your chair?

I use google maps to look up places and maps. Using the street view and satellite images is pretty neat. I was looking at Oregon and Haines Alaska area yesterday and was pulling up street views as well as open terrain snapshots not on the highways. Gives you a nice look just as if you were traveling by auto. Those steet views are nice as you have control of the 360 degree views as well as panning in and out. Travel to places to take a look where I would not care to take the time to drive to .

why build a factory to produce something

Build a factory no matter on what scale could land you a lawsuit in the arena of climate change. Why bother. You only lose job creation and the supply of the products manufactured by not building.

This whole thing could be pushing the shutdown button thruout the world.

Been laughing for the last 90 minutes

I have been watching gold rush Alaska for some time. After the second episode I figured this had to be a big put on. But I still kept watching to see how long they could keep their drama going before finding any gold.

So I went to the link below and read many comments about the show. From what I read the biggest joke in Haines Alaska is they are making more money doing the show than any intentions of finding gold.

If anything at all this show accomplishes is the fact not to get gold fever and wager everything on attemting to find gold when you do not know squat about finding gold or the operation of gold mining equiptment. Even the small sized equiptment.

I gotta add this from personal experience. Back in the 60s I use to invest on the Toronto stock exchange. The majority of the stocks were / are mining stock. Back then you could buy shares for pennies per share. Well I picked out a gold mining stock and purchased 4,000 shares of Majortrans gold mines. Today I have 4 1,000 share certificates framed as reminders not to buy expensive wallpaper. Green laugh

Bird and fish die off

Could be just the overpopulation of a species in a localized area. I think it was reported that the birds in Ark had empty crops. Maintaining a balance of food & population. My opinion

But here is what others think.
