Update: New Pick 3 Pick 4

I'm making great head way in programming this small application. No beta here, crash testing is a pain, but needed. I might have it ready today if all goes well.

The Vulcan comes to life

The mountains that once lay dormant now come to life.

Earthquake, Explosions, Smoke and Ash cover the purple and spacious.

Vulcan makes new mountains in a wake of disaster.

All the inhabitances flee with no time to repent, the Eagle's wing singed.

New Pick 3 and Pick 4 System

I've come across an interesting little Pick 3 and Pick 4 system that only uses the last 2 drawings for Pick 3 and the last 3 drawings for Pick 4 to select play numbers (combos) for the next draw.

I may actually release this as a separate small program; it's something that may be incorporated into JADE LSG 2.0.

I did some back testing and if this is as good as I think it is, you're in for a nice little program all by itself.

Cool

$4.00 gas by end of week.

I predict in my area that we'll see $4.00 gas prices by the end of the week.

As of last night, it was $3.70 here.

When it does, all my non-necessity spending will cease.

vc++ dll to vb interface linkage

Woo-Hoo, I created my first VC++ DLL file and linked it with a sample Visual Basic program.

I'll use VB as the user interface and build VC++ DLL(s) for hard crunching math and other algorithms.

Problem Unthought of...

The Ice Sheets that exists across the world not only affects weather, it also affects Plate Tectonics.

Earthquake and Volcanic activity is going to increase in frequency and magnitude as a result of the melting Ice.

you must also renounce

If you believe in the Anti-Global Warming side then you must also renounce the Bible and other Holy writings. Global Warming is far more consistent with Biblical Scripture that those who would have us believe the world is headed for another Ice Age. Even the Pope 'imself said to the Global Warming supporters to not spread fear about the subject. This also consistent with those who sound the Anti-Global Warming alarm. They tend to be ones who proclaim the deepest and head strongest connection to Holy Scripture... But... but there is a contradiction, a paradox if you will, to their logic and reasoning. In order to believe that the world is headed for an Ice Age, you must also renounce all the teachings and for told disasters as depicted by Biblical Scripture. Nowhere does it say, "..and I looked and behold there was a Great Snow Storm. For forty days and forty nights the Earth was blanketed by Snow and the Earth became as Ice." It is said that the next Great Disaster brought upon man would be by Fire, not by Ice.

So Says the Jehocifer.

JADE LSG 2.0 Open Source?

I'm considering an open source for JADE LSG 2.0 when it is released.

This means the JADE LSG 2.0 Source Code will be available for download.

VS 2008 ??

VS 2008 Express is not giving me that warm and fuzzy feeling about VS 2008 Pro. I tried to install VS 2008 Exp on my sons laptop several different ways, from DVD ISO burned image to straight from the Microsoft site itself, CRASSSSH each time. Each had some weird bug from can't find a file, to can't write to a file even though there is admin privilege, to corrupt cab files,  SHEESH... Also, I tried installing VS 2005 Exp components just to see if it would install, POW it works....  I dunno...  I sent back the crash information to Microsoft. I might have to wait till 2009 to use VS 2008 Pro; while Microsoft fixes the bugs.

VS 6 to VS 2008

I've been saving for an upgrade to my VS 6; looks like the VS 2008 is slowly dropping in price. Looks like I may have to go to VS 2008 Full Professional version. I see a lot of things in there that can help coding far beyond my old VS 6. A few more weeks of saving should work.

This has absolutely no impact on my paying off my dread-it cards as the source of income is not from my standard income of work and rental property.
